I have tried installing the drivers the the all in one printer and it will not install. It keeps saying there was a problem installing software. The kicker is, it was installed at one point. I had a problem and had to uninstall the printer and I tried re-installing but it will not install. Also when I look in the device manager, the printer is there and I see the icon, and i can even start the scanning, but when I got to print it says " no printer installed. There is not an Icon on the printer fax page either. I am confused, please can someone get me going in the right direction.
Try uninstalling the printer software again in safe mode, and use the manufacturer's uninstall command if there is one. (It will be in the Lexmark program group on the Start menu if there is one.) If not, you can try uninstalling through the Control Panel Add or Remove Programs icon. Then restart the computer and try a fresh reinstallation. Don't connect the printer until the installation program tells you to. Some brands and models don't install correctly if the hardware is connected before all the necessary software is properly installed.
Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X5150 Printer Driver on each of your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Well, First, There is not an uninstall from the manufacturer. Also, there is not an uninstall command under the lexmark icon under the start menu, and there is not a lexmark icon under the add/remove programs in the control panel. Thats something huh!!! This printer is way to complicated than it should be.
