The problem is not key fob but the lock actuators in door. Does the door open when you try the lock on the door? If not then you have a bad lock actuators

Get remote checked wires might need re soldering or replace remote with new one. Cheapest place to purchase one is at a key cutting place or lock retailer.

Freelander TD4 2003/5 doors, Central locking working with FOB to close all 5 doors, but when open, it opens front 2 doors !!!! (Driver side/passenger side only) rest of them only works manually!!!

I'm guessing this is a safety feature so you don't get car jacked. Try pressing the button for longer. Might even be a child lock feature, check child locks.

Vw golf mk4 my rear passenger door willnot open with central locking key system. i can't even open it from the inside, pull the door handle and the lock pin rises but door won't open. i believ

This worked for me on 2008 Mk5 Golf, after the rear passenger door would not open fro outside or inside.

Hold the inside door latch open and keep it extended, then with the key fob open and close the door locks (still holding the inside latch open). Keep locking and unlocking the door, then it made a kluck and it released.

Electric door locks won't work

Hi Kim, It would help if you could be more specific. Are you referring to locking and unlocking via a key fob, and if so is it a factory fitted unit or an after sales fitted unit. (if that's the case, have you tried replacing the battery inside the fob?) or are you reporting a failure of the central locking system? If you let us know we'll do our best to help you. Regards John

First problem started when the passenger door didn't open from outside. Now when you lock the car, the passenger door won't lock.

Sounds like the locking mechanism in the passenger door may need lubrication. You could also have a wiring issue and/or the actuator solenoid on that door could be bad. I'm assuming you are using the keyless locking fob. What happens when you push the door locking button on the driver's side door or the locking button on the passenger door itself? If these work as they should and with not hesitation then you likely have some other problem in the locking system.

Front passenger door will not open 1998 Tercel

If the passenger door has not been opened for some weeks or months, or in icy weather, it is possible that the rubber seals around the door frame will cause the door to appear 'stuck' fast - in this case, a bit of extra force from inside the car whilst pulling on the interior door handle should cause the door to open. Failing that, if the car has electrically operated central locking, when the key fob is pressed to deactivate the central locking does the door lock on the passenger side work as expected? Try unlocking the passenger door with a key, and or pull the door lock button upwards to ensure that the lock has been deactivated. Check for blown fuses.

1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.
