Problem with USB flash drive on Panasonic CQ-RX400 car radio

I have a Panasonic CQ-RX400 radio in my car and I have problem when using my Kingston 1 Gb USB flash drive. The radio is supposed to be compatible with USB flash drive, but many time a day I got "USB ERROR E1" on display when starting radio or during playback. I have to unplug the USB drive and plug it back to get my music back.

I contact Panasonic support and they told me maybe my Kingston USB flash drive isn't compatible with the Panasonic radio, so they ask me to try another USB flash drive brand or use a iPod (WTF!!). But I don't want to purchase many USB flash drive's brands before finding the one who work fine!

Did anybody use a specific brand/model of USB flash drive on that radio and never have problem?

You have to turn off the "DEMO" mode on your Panasonic radio. Check your owner manual for more detail. By default the radio run in "DEMO" mode when you use it for the first time!

Are you missing the wiring harness that plugs directly into the radio? If so, then you will have to contact a Panasonic dealer or Panasonic's website directly. If you are looking for a wiring harness to install into your vehicle, you can find them at www.crutchfield.com

the radio should have a button that switches it to your aux port (usb). if you have the manual it will tell you what button it is.
