Sound problems My samsung P2 has problems with the sound quality. One day , I couldn't hear anything . I think there's a problem with the earphone hole or something.I can hear a little music if I force my earphone more into the hole , but it gets tiring . Does anyone know whats wrong with it ?

Have you tried using a differant set of Headphones? If you still have the same problem with using other headphones, then it seems like there's a poor connection on the sound card from the headphone in input to the board. If your sound card works fine through normal speakers, then that's more then likely your problem.
The cheapest solution would be to replace the sound card rather then have it repaired, as it would probably cost you more to have it repaired then what it would be to buy one depending on what quality of sound your happy to listen to.

If the earphones are giving you a good quality of sounds, the problem here could be with the actual built-in speakers itself. since you have purchased it this year, you could contact the laptop's manufacturer or technical support so that you can have it fixed if the computer is still under warranty.

Sound quality decreasing

I also had Philips GOGEAR SA52xx. Philips provide In ear earphones for their device. I was also noticing sound quality loss in it. But one day when i cleaned my Inears(earphones) the sound quality was regained. So you will have to clean your ear phones.
You will notice that after removing rubber buds..there is a metal net. you have to clean all the holes in it using a needle or any pointed object. It will improve the sound quality. It may sound weird to you...but trust me it happened to me n i was surprised .....cheers... :)

No sound

There are only two easy possible reasons:

1) IF it has a earphone jack of some kind it may be damaged or bad.

2) Place your ear to the speaker and turn the sound all the way up to see if you hear anything.

If not a problem with a earphone jack or a bad speaker it will not be economical to repair---for this size set better to just replace it.

Hi, It seems the sound card might be defective, if you tested with some known good earphones in the computer, and you still have the same sound quality, then it might need to be replaced, HP should have diagnostics software within the computer, if you're able to access it to diagnose the ocmputer please do so, otherwise if your warranty is still valid with HP you should be able to contact them for a replacement or troubleshooting.

Not really a problem...just need some advice

I just picked up this player after reviewing it for a couple of months from best buy for $149 (8 gb version). it comes with the most up-to-date firmware already on it (i have firmware 5.10 on it now) so it eliminated the hassle of getting an older one and having to update the firmware on it.

as for the player itself, its wonderful. I upgraded from the samsung T9 to this one and i have noticed a drastic improvement in the sound and image quality. The features the YP P2 have on are outstanding for such a "low-budget" device (subway map, FM radio, voice recorder, bluetooth, alarm clock, make calls on your phone via the mp3 player, etc.)

As for sync-ing files from your computer to the player, you have to use the Emodio software to synch any necessary files. Since having my older samsung i am familiar with the emodio/ samsung media software, however it is very easy to use and to sync. All you have to do is locate the files on your pc, bring it to the library for Emodio, and then literally click-and-drag over to the mp3's window and it syncs automatically. I have not had any problems synching videos, pics or songs (so far, lol).

If you want a high quality player that has a big enough screen to watch videos and still fit comfortable in your pocket, as well as packed with a bunch of programs and a premier quality video/ audio player, then do yourself a favor and get the samsung YP-P2.

Robotic sound on samsung p2!

there is a new firmware 5.10 which should fix it. Now only to figure you out how to upload the new firmware since EmoDio does not see it.

Here are the firmware notes for 5.10
