Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a c6280 and i changed all cartirages. I must have a defective one. How can i print in black only
PROBLEM: set to black ink only: Start>ControlPanel>Printers>rightclick choose properties. Choose Advanced Tab>Printing Defaults>Color Tab>Choose Print in Grayscale> dropdown choose Black Cartridge Only >Apply> ok
NOTE: This applies to hp C6280 printer, Windows2000.
NOTE: any other version of Windows has same basic properties layout for your installed printer. You may have to poke around to find where Microsoft has 'hidden' printer properties. Once there, it is straightforward.

You do it through the software on your PC. HP has user software that you installed when you set up the printer. There is usually a setting for color/BW there. Otherwise use the printer properties settings.
