I have a brother mfc 7300c, I change all the cartridge's, fix all the error codes that were comming up now it wont print anything, It makes all the printing sounds and says it printing, but nothing comes out on paper. I have not use it in some time so I thought maybe I just need to run it a few times, clean all the cartridge's a few times and It would print, nothing. A few times some words came out, but after I ran the clean all the colors about 6 times, and ran a print job with about 20 coppies, nothing comes on the paper, but it thinks it's printing. Do you have any Idea why it is doing this.

Re: will not print
ARE YOU USING BROTHER INK??? I MEAN BROTHER OEM INK.? WHAT YOU CAN TRY IS TAKE A PAPER CLIP AND INSERT IT ABOUT 1/4 OF INCH INTO THE AIR HOLE ON THE CARTRIDGE, SOUNDS LIKE WHEN THE SEAL WAS TAKEN OFF, THE ADHESIVE FROM THE SEAL STAYED ON THE CARTRIDGE BLOCKING THE HOLDE. GOOD LUCK SR BROTHER TECH

It sounds like it may actually be the "print head" which is what the carts fit into. These can and will go bad. Sometimes you can find replacements on ebay etc. But you need to make sure it is exactly the same part number. There could also be a number of other issues, the cart contacts could be dirty or damaged (another print head issue resolved by replacing), counterfeit cartridge, bad cart. These are the most common, but not the ONLY issues that can cause your problems. I'd check prices for replacement print head vs. new printer.

Light/faint prints usually are a result from clogged ink or air bubbles between the cartridge and print head (thus changing cartridge wont fix problem). Try printing the test page print from the machine (Ink Management -> set/ok twice). Answer the question(s) in the display and repeat this up to five times. The colors should be improved after 1-3 test prints usually.
IT SOUNFDS LIKE THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE WAY OF THE PAPER PATH THAT IS CATCHINH THE CORNER OF THE PAPER, WHAT WE USUALLY DO IS TAKE A 8X10 FILE FOLDER AND MANUALY PUSH IT THRU THE PAPER PATHE TO SEE IF ANYTHING IS IN SIDE THEN REPLUG THE MACHINE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, GOOD LUCK BROTHER SR TECH
