Question about ASUS P4PE-X Motherboard
I want to replace my 2.6 ghz pentium 4 with a 3 ghz pentium 4 with an 800 MHz Bus Speed. My motherboard is a P4G533 (Echo). The specs on the HP website say it has a Proc. Front Side Bus Freq. of 400 MHz. Will the 3GHz pentium work on the P4G533?
Yes it will work but you won't get the response which you would exepect. I wouldn't...

Also, it can handle any pentium 4 processor that uses an 800MHz bus speed, because the highest bus speed that the GX260 motherboard supports is 533 MHz. The fastest processor available for the GX260 is 2.6 GHz.
