Question about Boss Rc 50
I am brand new to using the RC-50. So far I have not been able to loop anything without the guide pounding out some kind of drum track. I have the guide knob turned all the way off. Is there a way to disable it?
First, you need to select one of the patches called "init patch", it won't have a drumbeat on it. Then, turn the guide on again, then all the way off. Even if the knob's in the off position when you go to the patch, it'll turn itself on again by default. There's a light there that says "beat quantize" that you want to be off, or it'll cut your loop to the length of whatever beat it's set to. If you want to change the default, turn the beat quantize off, then press "write" and write the new patch. Hope that helps.

Tips for a great answer:

on Feb 25, 2015 | Roland Boss RC50 Loop station (with )
Apr 14, 2017 | Boss Rc 50
in any type of situation when data is being transferred and the
connection is prematurely lost there is data lost and or file
the Boss Rc 50 to your computer and backup its entire contents to
your computer if possible.
perform a Hard Reset: While simultaneously holding down the "PLAY
MODE" and "LOOP SYNC" buttons, turn the power on.
Everything should be restored to factory settings.
your backup was successful, then you can transfer desired files (one
at time) to determine if the are usable. If a file causes errors or
malfunction, then most likely it is corrupt.
Hope this helps
