Re: Moto T5620 Buzz

Check if that radio has the QT feature eneable, be sure that you are not making any feedback when you press the ptt. If one of the radios could have a problem be sure if the Buzz is transmited or received for the radios

To turn the tlk confirmation tone off... it does not work holding the - sign and turning it on now what?

Just read your message a second time. Is the sound following the release of the PTT button? If so, it is indeed the Roger Beep (aka talk confirmation tone). If holding in the minus button while turning the radio on does not turn it off, there might be something wrong with the radio, such as a one of the other buttons being slighty stuck. Or you have your keypad locked. To unlock the keypad hold the menu button in for 3 seconds until the lock icon disappears.

Another thing which will make a noise during or after transmitting is the low battery beep. You might check your batteries. Old, bad, poorly charged or defective batteries can cause this.

fyi: Some users might think the Call Tones are the Roger Beep.

Lastly, there is a PTT Timeout beep which will occur if you hold the PTT in for more than 60 sec while talking.

Hope one of these items is of help to you.

Best regards.

FCC ID: K7GFV300 one of the radios doesn't output sound, or the other one doesnt transmit it. i can hear the little buzz when you press the PTT button

Check your programming first to see if the radios match perfectly. Here is a link to the user guide:

Next, check the battery pack in the radio that is not transmitting. A low or bad battery can prevent a radio from transmitting, as it takes more power to transmit than to receive.

Lastly, check the mic hole to see if it is covered or has debris.

Best regards.

Makes loud tone when pushing ptt button

The ptt switch or circuit is not disconnecting the audio circuit. Open the unit up and check the wiring, interconnect plugs for something shorted not canceling the receiver audio.

Radio stuck in RX mode.

Your PTT button is possibly at fault. It may be partially depressed, leaving your receiver open. Behind your PTT button there is an internal PTT button on the componet board. It may be stuck or defective.

Not certain I understand your question. If you radios have a call-alert feature, it will buzz or ring the other radios when you press the PTT on your radio. If the radios do not have call alert, you will have to transmit a spoken word to get the others attention.
