Question about Pioneer VSX-D810S Receiver
I have a Pioneer VSX-810S and when I had my Samsung DVD player sonnected I would get a DTS indicator on the display if the DVD had it. I now hav a Pioneer Bluray DVD and I no longer get the indicator light although I do get sound from the rear center chanel. I have tried connecting audoi via optical and coax with the same results. Does the new player just not send any kind of signal telling the receiverit is in DTS mode?
thanks very much

SOURCE: No DTS sound / RESET
Hi I have a Pioneer VSX D908S which is basically the same amplifier as yours with the difference that the one I have has no THX certification, as a matter of fact the service manual is the same, and mine has the same problem. The prblem is located in the DSP board, if you are able to remove the bonett, you will see on the right side a metal cover, remove it, once you have removed it, look for a IC9374 it is located, -looking this board in front to you- almost at the left upper corner, this IC has the PDK042A on it, with a soldering iron resolder this circuit. This is common problem with this pioneer amplifiers, and this procedure not always works, the final solution is to buy the DSP board but it is expensive. Good luck! Miguel

What might be happenening is the refresh rate for your blu-ray is offsync for your preferred display. You should be able to change it by plugging it into another TV and playing around with the settings. If you have further problems please feel free to post again.
Please post what you do and how you did it. I look forward to your posts.

SOURCE: yamaha HTR -6130 DTS?????
First, the sound source must also be in DTS. DTS is typically not the default audio selection on any DVDs that have that format...you'll have to select it.
