SOURCE: My computer (Dell Inspiron 1525)

Hello.

From Click Free Support:

Ensure that the Clickfree device is plugged directly into your computer.

Once connected, wait 3 minutes to confirm the application did not start as expected.

If the application did not start, open your "My Computer"(XP) or "Computer" (Vista / Windows 7.) and check to see if you have both Clickfree_System and Clickfree_Storage.

Double-click on the Clickfree_System drive or browse the Clickfree_System contents and double click StartMyClickfreeBackup.exe.

If the Clickfree™ application starts and begins a backup, then Autorun may be disabled on the computer.

To reenable AutoRun:

FOR XP USERS:
To re-enable Autorun you have to go and download the official Microsoft Windows XP Autorun Repair Wizard. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&displaylang=en Please follow the steps outlined by Microsoft on how to use this repair tool.

FOR VISTA USERS:
To re-enable Autorun, go to Control Panel and select Autoplay. Choose the Restore Defaults button in the Autoplay window which is located at the lower left hand corner.

FOR Windows 7 USERS:
To re-enable Autorun, go to Control Panel and select Autoplay (If you do not have the Autoplay option, In the upper right Click on "Category" and select "large icons". You will then be able to select autoplay.) Choose the Restore Defaults button in the Autoplay window which is located at the lower left hand corner.

It's also possible that the ClickFree USB cable is defective. Replace if necessary.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My old computer (XP) crashed.

I see. Try to restart your computer, if the computer is completely opened try to check if it worked. If not, try to uninstall it then restart your computer, after restarting re-install it then check it if it will work perfectly.

Thanks.

I am trying to import my pictures and music files from my clickfree C1 to my computer. My OS is Windows 7. When I plug the clickfree in, the computer recognizes it and gives me the option to import but...

You have to be the computers administrator to change any values on any hard drive on your computer.
Click start control panel user accounts on the users tab click the name of the computer Administrator you must have full control.

Click start click to open on my computer you should see your usb drive could be E: or something right click select properties there will be an array of options
select the sharing tab option then advanced sharing make sure you have a tick in the share this folder box
then click permissions make sure you have all 3 boxes ticked full control changes and read in windows 7
If you are running a Windows XP OS then you might be able to:
Click start right click on my computer select open
Right click the icon of your Flash Drive (It should be F:/ or something)
Click Properties in the menu that comes up
Click the Sharing tab
Click permissions
And finally, click Allow next to Full Control.

Why isn't my clickfree C6 backing up my files on the second time I needed to backup my files it just keep saying that it is backing up but all colums saying 0

It would appear that your Clickfree C6 is stuck on searching when attempting to backup. If you find that the backup is stuck at this phase, where 0 files are backed up and the status reads "searching for files": you should be able to resolve this issue by applying an update from Clickfree's website.

Pre-requisites:
-Administrator rights
-A computer using Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit, or 64-bit is okay)
-The C6 must be detected correctly by the computer (where both CF_Storage and Clickfree_System appear in Computer/My Computer)

Try the following to resolve the Stuck on Searching issue:
1. Ensure that your Clickfree device is plugged into USB
2. Close any open applications that may be running
3. Using a web browser, navigate to the following address: http://www.storage-corp.com/customerservice/C6_Updater_search_issue.exe
• The website will prompt for a username, use: cssupport
• The website will prompt for a password, use: cssupport
4. When prompted, save the file to your desktop
5. Double click on the file named "C6_Updater_search_issue.exe"
6. The update will take place automatically. Do not close the update application until completion.
7. When the update is complete, click on the OK button
8. Disconnect your Clickfree from USB
9. Plug the Clickfree back into USB

Attempt another backup to see if the issue persists.

I need to format my HD325 click free for mac

I'm sure the OP no longer needs to format their Clickfree C1 HD325 for use on Mac OS X, but I'll answer this question for anyone else who may need a solution.

Before you begin, there are a few things that you should know about Clickfree C1 and Mac OS X compatibility:
-Most Clickfree devices are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, but there are some Clickfree C1 devices that aren't compatible with Mac OS X. If your Clickfree C1 was manufactured prior to 2009: your Clickfree C1 won't be compatible with Mac OS X.
-Take a look at the label located underneath the Clickfree C1: if you see WD08xxXM (WD08 is what's important here, you can ignore the rest of the numbers/letters that follow), your Clickfree won't be Mac OS X compatible.
-Formatting the Clickfree C1 using HFS+ will prevent any Windows operating system from detecting the Clickfree correctly. Try formatting the Clickfree in NTFS from a Windows computer for compatibility with both Mac OS X and Windows.

Pre-requisites:
-A Mac using OS X version 10.5 or better
-Administrator rights

Try the following steps to format your Clickfree C1 for use on a Mac (note that this will erase the contents on your Clickfree C1):
a. Using your keyboard, press the option key + command key + spacebar at the same time; a finder window will appear
b. In the search field located at the top-right of the window, type: Disk Utility
c. Finder will perform a search, and will display the Disk Utility application icon; double-click on the Disk Utility. The Disk Utility application will start
d. Plug your Clickfree into USB, wait a few moments for the application to recognize the Clickfree
e. Click on Clickfree Backup Media from the left side of the Disk Utility window
f. Select the Erase tab
g. Click on the Volume Format drop-down, select: "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)"
h. In the Name field, type: CF_Storage
i. Click on the "Erase" button.
j. Once the erasing is complete, close the application
k. Unplug your Clickfree from USB
l. Plug your Clickfree back into USB

I have a belkin easy transfer cable. How do i transfer photo's

On the old computer, run Vista's "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" to write one large file onto the old computer. The "export" file will contain your pictures.

Copy, via the transfer-cable, that one file to the new computer.

Run the "import" function of the Windows 7 Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to read the copied file.
