Question about HP Color LaserJet 2550n printer + HP Color Training and extended warranty ;U4929E, Next-Day exhange...
I ahv e a blinking yellow light with a triangle icon next to it.
Cant print with card stock,bt plain paper ok.
This is a hp laserjet P2015
That light indicates a problem with the media/paper. Based on your saying it prints fine with plain paper, but not on card stock, the most likely reason is the card stock is to heavy for the printer. In the Owners Manual (page 21) HP specifies paper from16-47 lbs. If your card stock is heavier, it does will not feed properly and the printer treats it as a jam.
Try a lighter stock and see whether that works. Also, it's best to use the multi-purpose tray for heavier paper and envelopes; the add-on trays really should only be used for plain paper.

I m not sure what the specification of the paper type you are using however if you are using card stock than you should use manual feed Tray and in the printer driver properties you should select paper type as Card-Stock to make sure there is no print quality issue.

Hi, If that is the only light on (blinking or not), then you probably have a paper jam or a door open somewhere on the printer. Make sure both doors are closed securely at the back of the printer. Make sure that the toner cartridge is secured inside the printer. You not only have to just insert it, but you have to insert it until you can feel it lock into place. Make sure there is no paper jammed inside the printer or inside the rear doors. If you have a blinking light AND the power light is ON, press the GO button. This is also a sign that a complex print job was sent that max'd out the installed memory. Hope this helps!

This can be an issue with one of the faulty sensor across the printer.
Please check if you are able to print from tray 1, e.g. a configuration page.
A config page can be printed by holding the Green Button and releasing it as soon as the Triangle light comes on. This would take approx 5 secs.
If the printer is able to print from tray 1, then it could be an issue with the tray 2 pickup sensor.
Check if the tray 2 pickup sensor ( a black plastic piece to the right of the tray 2 pickup roller) is moving freely (front and back), also check if tray 2 pickup roller is not able to rotate completely.
If the tray 2 sensor is not moving freely and of the pickup roller is rotating completely, then reseat the pickup roller.
Normal use with good media causes wear resulting in the need to periodically clean or replace the pickup roller. Additionally, the use of poor media might require more frequent replacement of the pickup roller. Replacing the pickup roller Complete the following to replace the pickup roller:
CAUTION: Failure to complete this procedure might damage the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and allow the printer to cool.

Re-installing the print driver will not solve a flashing light. If the printer is functionally ok, it will come to ready simply by plugging into the wall. It sounds to me like a fatal error at this point.....could be a long list of things, but I would lean towards a formatter board. bottom line with this printer at this point in it's life is, if it doesn't work, it's not worth fixing. Replaceable for about $100.

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 22, 2013 | HEWLETT PACKARD - LASER JETS New - Hp...
Isolate to a wall outlet and not a strip.
Remove the cartridges.
Remove the power plug and then reconnect.
Reinstal the cartridges.
Try to do a copy direct from the unit.
Print a self test page and check for Yellow or Magenta to rule out a partially empty cartridge.
