That's frustrating.... here's one possible solution. Uninstall driver and try downloading driver from website. click HERE. select your printer and OS of computer that you are using then download and install updated driver.
If you have an installation CD, my advice is to uninstall the printer
completely, turn it off, reboot, then insert the install CD. Do not
turn on the printer until told. If you do not have a CD, and your
printer is working fine, other than for the status monitor, the file
you need is SC4344_STM_3aE_MP.exe and you can download it from:
