Question about Air Conditioners

1 Answer

Lennox electric furnace

Joe:

This is SpoonmanK. I read your initial response to my problem, then posted an additional comment to that. Did you see that? I don't have any wires marked E, and the one white wire I do have was in W2. I put a full description of my wiring on my post.

Thanks!

The air conditioner is hooked up to my lennox furnace and it is leaking water...is there a drip tray or drainage hose that could be blocked?

On your inside lennox furnace there should be a 3/4 inch pvc pipe coming off the evapartor coil this is what gets stopped up and you need to take a shop vac and clean it out.

I have a garage heater from Lennox. I replaced the thermostat and no longer can get any response or power from the furnace. There is power at the outlet where it is plugged in.

Inside the electrical cover is a transformer it takes 120v to 24v check incoming power and see if you got 24v coming out.

Electric furnace blows cold air before and after warm air.

It is normal. Your house has to go down a couple more degrees because the heat pump is not working. You can solve this by rewirng you thermostat. Take off the wire that goes to Y and tape off. Then take the wires that are marked w and e or w1 and put the wires to yellow. Do not run ac with it wired like this. If you need more information please post me back

We are look at purchasing a 95% Amana AMV9 furnace. What is the pro and cons on this unit furnace. Thanks for your help. Judy

the best furnace you can buy is a two-stage furnace with a variable speed blower, the most effecient furnace you can buy is the 95% one. the most important thing is the technician installing it. there is a very advanced setup configuration that needs to be followed depending on your outside unit, your ductwork, and the living environment. find a NATE certified dealer. also, look for a Lennox Premier Dealer, and an American Standard Customer Care dealer. you can find them by going to Lennox.com and AmericanStandardAir.com
