I realized that none of the keys would repeat, so I checked out Dell's community page and was able to find the way to fix it. Thanks for your assistance!

Tried diff kybd? If same prob, then go into BIOS setup (F2) before XP boots, & check any kybd settings ie -repeat ON

If diff kybd works ok, then you prob have a bad kybd

This just happened to me as well. I realized that some how the "filter keys" option had been turned on. Turning it on filters repeated keystrokes; it can be turned off by accessing the Ease of Access center, then to how the keyboard works, and then unchecking the filter keys box.

Hope that helps :)

To re-set the wireless set up you need to press the button on the receiver and the one on the mouse at the same time. Both buttons - same time. Have a friend help you if you are unable to reach both and hold them down for at least ten to twenty seconds. When you press both buttons it should reset your system and solve your problem.

Try getting the cans of compressed air you would get at an office supply store, power down the laptop and trydrying the board with short bursts of air, there may be some dampness under the keys interfereing with the imput signals from the key pads.
