I have a 2005 Chevy Cavalier. I think my car is stuck in drive. I went to reverse it and i touched the gas pedal and it kept going forward. I even switched it to park and it kept moving forward. I then shut off the car and tried starting it up. It wouldn't even turn over. With the key in the ignition and turned to where i can listen to the radio. I can then press on the brake and move the shifter almost freely as if it is stuck in a certain gear (i'm suspecting drive). Need help.

SOURCE: 2005 malibu where is the brake light switch?
There isn't one. This car has a "brake and throttle by wire" system and the brake light switch is inside of that. You have a bad brake position sensor. Figure $240 or so at a dealer.

Checked the cable from the shifter to the transmission? They often stretch or break & become difficult to move Or fail to move lever on transmission properly.

Sounds like you have destroyed the transmission low fluid and not going into gear, without a vin or comment from you about it being an automatic or not. When the wheel is removed the brakes will make scraping noise, as the calipers are help in place by the wheel on some models. You may get luck and have a bad drive shaft but would be very obvious by looking at them if it was stopping it from moving. If the transmission is automatic check the fluid if its brown and smells like onions then the fluid is burnt and you have destroyed the transmission rear tail shaft so it would be junk. A picture of the axles would help to tel you more with the wheels off.
SOURCE: key is stuck shiftr doesnt lock in to release it
Does your key turn all the way to where it should be when you usually take it out of the ignition? If not, then you have a bad nuetral saftey switch. If so try turn the wheel in either direction while attempting to pull out the key. I hope tis helped you out. It would be greatly appreciated if you could rate my answer, Thanks. MIKE-
