Question about Micom (VIP-4004-ISO-DX) (VIP4004ISODX) Expansion Module
I have just installed a new Mikomi Webcam but it keeps freezing.
What needs to be done to resolve this issue
I had this problem andi am running on xp and 1gb ram too.
There are several things i did and to be honest i am not sure which one worked, all i know is, it is working just fine now.
First i changed the settings for the level of Virtual memory on my pc. I put the levels up and also made the minimum and maximum levels the same. It's nice to have lots of memory on your pc but it does help to tell the pc it can use it wiithout asking.
Next i went and got a new graphics card as i found mine was running way below par.
Also, if you use on board graphics you will never have a trully smooth running pc.
I have found that graphics are the main cause of slow, glitchy pc's. Big bright pretty pictures on your desktop will mean that your pc has to work harder. Its usually quite usefull to go into advanced settings on your pc and remove all the silly add on visual styles.I remove all but the bottom one in the list. Then i get to keep the pretty xp look, but my pc doesn't get slowed down.
If you try making some or all of these changes, you may find you camera working better.
