Did you removed the Scanner from the top yet? if so, its kind of tricky.
On the back of the C2424 there are two star screws, You have to remove those. Then Proceed by opening the Front Cover Release which is in front of the printer;to the right of tray 1(manual feed tray). - this will allow for the covers to come off a lot easier.

Next at the front where the paper would land on after being printed. that tray must be removed in order to remove the side panels. there are no screws left. It just pops out of place. Try different maneuvers. There is not much to possibly break it just snaps on/off.

Once you have that tray off , there are no screws to remove the two side panels L (left) and R (right). There are no more screws holding it from this point. the panels have pivots at the bottom and will come loose without much force at a short angle.

Then finally on the top depending on what you need to work on. If you need to get to the print head and the wiper blade assembly or further. You will have to remove the Wax tray. Just roll the exit roller assembly upwards to make room to remove wax tray. Once its pulled out there are two cables needed to be removed. A power cable and a data i believe.

Then from here on out, you can do a lot.

Whats the issue you have? just curious.

If you want more help right away. I check my email constantly. Email me at Label the subject Fixya and ill check it right away.

NOTE: Please let the printer cool before doing this by turning it off and unplugging it. Print head can get extremely hot. Also

You either have jammed ink sticks or a bad Ink Loader 200-4711-80

It is fairly easy to replace, if you can get the covers and Document feeder off.

White lines will not go away in our Xerox C2424

Since you have done all that. That tells me you almost certainly have a bad print head.
They will clog or sometimes the jets get damages and it becomes impossible to pass ink through them.
I would say a bad print head is about a 99 percent probability.

Xerox workcentre c2424 error code

One of two things most likely.
1. The wiper blade is stuck to the print head,or 2, The print head blosk has a lot of spill over ink built up in it.
That code is caused by the inability of the print head to move properly. Either left to right or pivot front to back to get into the print position.
You have to remove the covers to access the stainless steel print block. It is located about 2/3 of the way back on the lower left side of the frame. It is a one inch by one inch square block that may have a lot of buildup of spill over ink in it. If the wiper is stuck you have to remove the ink loader , where you add the ink sticks , to access the area between the print head and drum, It is a pink blade the is between the drum and print head, it wold be stuck to the print head not allowing it to move. Just carefully unstick it from the print head

C2424 Removal of covers

They would tell you how. But I can tell you how to remove them
1. Disconnect and unplug the document feeder and remove the document feeder and scanner assembly. Once you remove the molex connector from the socket by the power cord you go to the back of the machine and there will be 2 tabs you press down to release the scaner, pull it back until you get it past the tabs, lift up and off.
2. There is 1 screw on the back of the machine, for each cover, on the upper portion of the frame, they are torx screws, remove those.
3. Step to the side of the machine and lift up and out on the cover, pull at about the middle of the cover. The front cover will pop off in the process, that is all that holds the front on. Slip off the front cover and lift the side covers up and toward yourself. Some tabs will realease as you pull the covers up. That is all there is to removing the covers.
What do you want to do once inside the machine??
