Question about Printers & Copiers
I solved this problem. I have been having the same problem then I compared my old cartridge to my new after-market cartridge and discovered that the shape is different. The bottom of the cartridge needs to depress a little sensor in the cartridge bay to tell your printer that the cartridge is installed.
I fabricated a small piece of plastic to make up the difference between the botton of my after-market cartridge and the sensor. Now it sees my full new cartridge of ink.

Try another cartridge. Occasionally a bad one shows up.

Install your cloned ink cartridge into the Epson printer.
Go to "Start > Control Panel" on your computer.
Double-click on "Printer."
Right-click on the icon of your Epson printer and choose "Printer Preferences" at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click on the tab entitled "Speed and Progress" and see the Epson printer monitor box.
Check off the box that says "Disable Epson Status Monitor" to turn off the ink monitor.
Click "Save" and close the windows. Your cloned ink cartridges should now work.
