Question about Air Conditioners

Open Question

My dimplex duoheat radiators keep clicking madly like they are stuck, i keep having to turn them off by the plug and turn them back on the next day. I don't think they are receiving the signal from the main control panel. It's never all 3 heaters together, just one or two at a time. This is now happening every day. I have been told a process to reset them but it is not working. Any help would be great!

How many wires for the thermostat do you have? If you tell me I can help. The green flashing, instead of red, in my experience, means a thermostat problem.

Take it back to the store. Manufacture defect if it died after only 10 days. Attempting repair or disassembly will probably void warranty.

2000 GMC Sierra SLE 5.3L overheating replaced the water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, & flushed radiator and its still overheating

here are 8 reasons a vehicle over heats. coolant level is low, you have a leak in cooling system, the cooling system may have trapped air inside, the radiator cooling fan is not working, radiator core has become plugged, bad thermostat, or bad water pump, or Your radiator cap needs to be replaced. Good-Day! this is mostly all problems with over heating. if it is a bad head gasket, you will see white smoke from tail pipe. thats because coolant is entering cylinders. as for the radiator cap have a parts store pressure test the cooling system, if they do it.

Bulb blew in my dimplex michigan fire, model MCN20. I now can't get the bulbs to switch off with either the remote control or the on/off switch.

Stewart, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and wait 12 - 15 minutes. Then plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set the function controls manually (not with the remote) one at a time. If everything works as it should, the fire reset itself during the 12 - 15 minute timeout. If it didn't or that problem continues to reoccur, contact Dimplex North America, Technical Service at 888-346-7539.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

Cant get my dimplex club electric fire to come on

Do the rest of the functions of the fireplace work? If so, turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF and plug the unit for 12 to 15 minutes. After the time has elapsed, plug the unit back it and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Then turn on the flame function switch. Hopefully, that timeout allowed the unit to reset itself and the flame function is now working. If it isn't, either the flame function switch is faulty or the circuity to the light bulbs and the ro-tater motor that turns the shaft, that he bulbs are attached to, has failed. Without knowing how old the unit is and how much use it's had, it's hard to pin down one thing that is causing the problem. If it's any consolation, you are not alone. Hundreds of these electric fireplaces (all makes & models) fail every year.

If all else fails, contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service at 888-346-7539.

Hope this helped to solve your problem.

How to reset safety cut out on dimplex heater XL18N

The simplest way is to turn the ON/Off switch on the plug-in power cord to OFF. Wait 12 to 15 minutes and turn it back ON. If yours is not so equipped (it's supposed to be, if you live in the UK), unplug the unit for 12 to 15 minutes and then plug back in. In either case, the controls on the heater should be in the OFF position, before attempting either solution.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

Dimplex 3015 purefire remote will not torn fireplace on or off. Tried to reset remote, but no results. I have 2 fireplaces of the same type, and an old and new style remote. Tried with both remotes, but...

Apparently, the receiver on one fireplace is faulty. If this a plug-in wall type receiver, unplug it from the wall, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. That 5 minutes may have given it time to reset itself. If you see any scorch, burn marks or melted plastic on the receiver box, it will have to be replaced. Contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service Dept at 888-346-7539.

Hope this "remotely" helps to solve your problem.

Our dimplex electric fireplace model number 28106D3F shut off and won't turn back on

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the fireplace from the wall receptacle and leave unplugged for 10 - 15 minutes. This will give it time t reset itself. In the future, if you finding you're have to do this more often. Unplug the fireplace, stop using it and call Dimplex USA Technical Service 888-346-7539 for further instructions.

MY DUOHEAT IS NOT HEATING UP ON THE RETAINED HEAT ONLY ON THE DAYTIME ELECTRIC. LIGHTS SEEM TO INDICATE IT SHOULD WORK BUT REMAINS COLD

If its the amcoraire duoheat, you may have a problem. amcoraire went bankrupt last year. The US interest was bought out by the Pridiom group, which appears to have folded also. Their tech support line seems to now be disconnected. What model number is it? I may be able to help you repair the components on the control boards. The power board has five components that have a high failure rate and can be purchased from digikey.com. The square bridge rectifier diode pack shorts out and takes out the fast diode, the scr, and two large capacitors. all components can be purchased from digikey.com. Make sure you reinstall the phenolic isolation pads or the unit will burn up again!

Water spillage in Dimplex portable air conditioner

Hi Leanne,Bung stays in and you dont take it out until the red light (4th on right on top of unit) comes on, then you empty it taking bung out and use tube to get the water out. It will probably take some time (days of continuous operation) for the light to come on, depending on your humidity etc. For easy emptying, wheel the unit to a bathroom or outside where if it spills a bit it won't matter.

Ours is working okay although it just stopped blowing cold air and is only blowing room temp air. we have guests tonight and its hot! I came here looking for a solution to my prob and found yours!

chhers, Les.
