Well this sure is an interesting problem. First of all a dryer certainly should not be leaking anything. I would suggest that the "leak" is actually condensation from the exhaust not getting to the outside which would tell me that the dryer exhaust duct is plugged. This could also cause the electrical problem you mentioned. Turn on the dryer then go outside to where the dryer exhaust comes out of the house and see if there is warm moist air coming out. If not, disconnect the exhaust duct from the rear of the dryer and see if there is air blowing out of the dryer. If there is, then you know that the duct is plugged some where between the dryer and the outlet. Clear the obstruction and/or replace the duct and try the dryer again. Please remember to disconnect the power prior to removing any access panels on an appliance. Good luck, and let me know how things work.

Amana NED7200TW dryer. Has heat, tumbles, clothes don't dry. Vents have been gone through and cleaned. This happens in the sensor dry and time dry modes. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Just a question. Does your blower work. If your blower does not work it won't dry. Check blower belt. Mine broke and had no air blowing. Just a thought.

How to assemble belt

Hello Denise, I have seen this problem many times. The sneakers by themselves in the dryer cause a shock effect , when the weight of the sneakers tumbling onto the drum overloads the skinny belt and the belt breaks every time. Usually. if you dry the sneakers along with other clothes or towels this will not happen.

E15 error code on hoover tumble dryer

Controls
  • The control unit on the tumble dryer will vary among different makes and models. The main purpose of the controls is to allow the user to select the drying cycle. You can choose the time and temperature setting on most units, while others allow custom settings such as moisture sensors and end-of-cycle alert signals. The controls may include a dial or a touch panel and LED screen display. Some tumble dryers allow you to independently select the appropriate time for the load you are drying and separate programs for temperature.
Motor
  • The motor inside the tumble dryer spins the basket to allow the clothes to tumble while being dried. The tumbling action allows the air to pass through the clothing to dry them faster. Heating laundry that is stagnant will likely dry the clothing on the outside while leaving damp clothing inside the pile. The constant motion, along with the heat and steam created by heating the clothing, reduces wrinkles. The motor also powers the fan that delivers the heated air to the basket of laundry. The heater can be an electrical element or gas powered.

Kenmore Gas Dryer does not dry clothes.

If this is the electric version then after 15 years you probably need a new heating element, they are not difficult to install and are not terribly expensive as a DIY project.

Dryer is running longer than usual, it's tumbling,

no make listed here...I would pull the hose off the back of dryer and see if a lot of air is blowing out of vent. if not, heres your answer a clogged filter area ..if air blowing out leave vent hose off and dry clothes with vent off for one cycle. if clothes dry with vent hose off..you have a venting issue and need your vent cleaned out...

Dryer heats, tumbles clothes, blows air out exhause vent, but wont dry clothes

what type is this electric or gas? have you removed the exsaust from the wall and ran a load like this? if you have heat and this is an electric dryer it sounds like you have a blockage in your house. if the dryer runs fine without the exsaust attached then that is your problem. let me know

Electric dryer not drying clothes

The electric dryer requires 220 volts to dry clothes but only 110 volts to turn the drum .reset your circuit breaker even if it looks ok ,if that dosent work, unplug from the wall and check where the plug wire goes into the back of the dryer and look for loose or broken wires.
