Every disc put in the xbox just says reads but never opens the disc

Im sorry to say it sounds like your laser lenses in your Xbox 360 has stopped working, so here are your options.
  1. Buy an lenses cleaning disk and try and clean the lenses. Heres a few examples
  2. If you have a warranty on the Xbox 360, make Microsoft fix it. they will fix it to no cost.
  3. If you have no warranty and the lenses cleaning disk didn't work, then your last option is to find a repair service to replace the lenses for you, or replace the lenses yourself. They cost about $15, here's a few examples, but if you replace it yourself, it requires you to open the Xbox 360 which voids the warranty on the Xbox 360.

Try multiple different games, making sure all of them have no dirt or scratches on them. If the games have not scratches or dirt, and the Xbox 360 still does this problem then the system itself is at fault, and I'm sorry to say that it seems like your laser lenses is gone in your Xbox 360. This leaves you with the following options.
  1. Buy an lenses cleaning disk and try and clean the lenses. Here's a few examples
  2. If you have a warranty on the Xbox 360, make Microsoft fix it. they will fix it to no cost.
  3. If you have no warranty and the lenses cleaning disk didn't work, then your last option is to find a repair service to replace the lenses for you, or replace the lenses yourself. They cost only about $15, here's a few examples, but if you replace it yourself, it requires you to open the Xbox 360 which voids the warranty on the Xbox 360.
hope this helps!

Hi, I had a problem with my xbox, it wouldn't play games. I bought a new drive, I have a benq. I fitted the old mother board into the new drive but it would still not play. I then fitted the new mother...

Your Xbox 360 lens are most likely dirty. And your 360 probably has something like dust stopping it from scanning your games. I suggest blowing into your DVD drive carefully and gently. If it still doesn't work I recommend sending your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for a new one if your under warranty. If you don't have a warranty you could clean you lens by your self. But opening your 360 to clean the lens could make it worse so do it at your own risk.

All Xbox 360 Game unreadable

Your DVD drive could be shotty.........
Probably broken, check if you have/still have a warranty for it, if so i would send it in for free/only pay for shipping.
Without warranty it's roughly $120 USD.

One of my firneds had this problem and he actually MODDED his xbox and it fixed this.....
It's surprisingly worth it, I have done it to mine, and you can play your LEGAL backups of your games.
(yes it's legal to have 1 copy of your game)

I don't know if your warranty will become void because of that, but call XBOX customer support and try to avoid saying anything about you putting 2 discs in there. If it is absolutely necessary to tell them, then tell them. But it might make your warranty void.
