Powerpoint conversion from pc to pocket pc

I seem to be having problems putting ANYTHING onto my pocket pc without it rendering it a useless "ghost" file. I am having difficulty at the moment with a powerpoint file. I am currently cutting and pasting into the pocket pc, is this wrong? also i don't have a memory card, is this the simple answer? many thanks

I think you should update your antivirus and scan it once,,, if i m wrong, coz i m not sure, then try activsync version 4.5,, that i use and it works great.

My sony PRS300 screen is frozen and unable to shut off the screen

I have this same problem with my PRS-300. I can reset it by connecting it to AC power and resetting it, but it continually freezes up, rendering the unit useless. The Sony repair facility in Laredo has had the unit since 8/27 and has not been able to repair it.

You will need the disk that contains the firmware. The best thing to do is check on Amazon or ebay and upgrade to the highest firmware your device can accept. I belive the cost for a downloadable copy is between $5-10. If you do this make sure to follow the instructions for you can irrevocably render the device useless. :-(

Microphone not working

You should try a ROM upgrade. THis problem may have occured if you have a corrupted ROM memory. If for my first choice.. hmm.. It isn't hardware, in my opinion. Try the ROM update first. Save all your important data (no back-up) only save the files to the computer, then have the PDA's battery fully charged, make an active sync connection using USB sync cable (bluetooth, or IR woun't work) and open the ROM update file. For a ROM update, use the oficial HP ROM versions. Here is a link to the wm2003 version. It is the only one that HP distributes free of any charges. Folow the instructions carefully. In that list select and download : HP iPAQ h6300 Pocket PC Series ROM Update (English Languages Support Only) Good luck, fell free to ask any other question about this process or others and always remember to rate solutions. :)

Moving files

I'm guessing it's a move from PC to iPAQ and the conversion to pocket format is causing an issue... You can turn off the conversion in Activesync -- Options -- Rules...
