Save all your data first, using an external disk or a USB memory, or recording on CD/DVDs to do a full backup.

Tthen do a full system reinstall using the recovery disk or the recovery tool, check on your user manual if disk is not provided.

If you still get the faulty keys after a fresh system had been installed, then you have a faulty keyboard , and need a replacement.

You can contact Asus support, and ask price of repair.

Also ask them where you can purchase a warranty extension.

I would assume that you are in the US. That being the case you can go to the site below for repair information on your unit.

If its under warrant it is advisable to send it to the service center.as some of the keys must have hanged or got stuck and needs reparing or servicing.

If you remove the battery does the Laptop power on? If the answer is yes then the adapter is fine and the battery needs replacing. They generally last for about 2-3 years and then they die. If it is under warranty then return it to the seller and they will replace the faulty components.

My daughter has a new ASUS Eee PC 1005HAB, and after a couple months use it will no longer power on.

Hi,

Try this >>>>

Remove AC power and take out the battery.
Plug the AC power back in and see if it will switch on. If it does shut it back down again and re-insert the battery. Try turning the computer on.

If you get no life from the computer either with or without the battery then this computer has to be sent back to Asus for repair or replacement as there will be still warranty on the computer.

Regards.

My laptop computer is okey except that the touch command for the cursor is not responding, if i use a mouse thru the usb port then its alright..why does the touch command for the cursor not responding?

Touch pads are not very reliable. I have seen a lot fail.
A computer repair person will need to replace it for you.
My advice is to stick with a USB mouse. Or if it is under warranty, take advantage of that warranty.
Best of luck.

The F10 F11 F12 sound keys not working on my Asus F3S os Vista

Hi,

I don't know how to do to help you, - 2 solutions:

1. go here and specify if you pc is a F3Sc - F3Se - F3Sv and download the drivers. ( don't use driver detect, that will cost you....)
http://www.drivershq.com/Drivers/ASUS/F3-Series/13236/24543/Models.aspx

2. Reinstall, to WinXP, with that you get a computer leaving the table, with the speed you get on XP, but that's up to you. XP Drivers here:
http://usa.asus.com/search.aspx?searchitem=1&searchkey=F3S
- again, choos your model, and then your OS ie WinXP, - they are all there, - go on you asus.

Personally, I would not hesitate to install XP, but don't mind me, I have been working (full time as an adminisrator) with Server2003 and WinXP for years.

Hp laptop blank screen/black, despite power lights on.

I see this a lot at work. Here are the steps I go through to TS.
1. Make sure the computer is off 2. Unplug the AC Adapter and remove the battery 3. With nothing attatched to the laptop (including battery) press and hold the Power button for 15-30 sec. 4. Plug in the AC adpt. to the unit and the wall (leave battery out at this point). 5. Turn on the unit. At this point it might turn on (I've had about 50% success on this).
If this does not work and you are still experiancing the same issue you computer may be under HP's Limited Warrenty Service Encancement. Which is basically a recall by all means but don't call it that. HP will throw a fit and won't help. Seriously. They are going to want to check your model number and your product number.
Finding these is simple. Look on the back side of the unit and locate the sicker with 2 barcodes on it. the number labeled "P/N" is your Product Number. The official HP Model Number is located directly above the word warrenty. Example: DV6312US.
You can also look here on HP's website for more information the the LWSE.

Model A3F cant start at all this morning. Press ON button but nothing happens no sound whatsoever.

If you are plugged into a power strip you might try plugging it directly into the wall. If there is an on off switch on the back of the machine near where the power cord plugs in, be sure it is in the on position. If this does not help, I would suspect a bad power supply in the computer. Not too expensive.
