    Tons of lint down underneath the lint catcher. I need to get in there and remove it but need to know how to remove the part that holds in the lint screen.

Unplug first with a straight blade screwdriver, pry up on the top of the dryer where the front wall of the dryer and the top meet. there are 2 screws 1 on each side inside the dryer where the sides and front meet, remove them and unhook the wires from the door switch. the whole front will now pull out and up, now open the door remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the door opening and the whole lint tray will pull out. sounds like a lot but only takes about 5 minutes.

Does a kenmoore 80 series have glides

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-PYE2300AYW/3048/0151200?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=PYE2300AYW
go here and you can see the parts in your dryer,if the model isn't a maytag pye2300ay then just put your model number in there and it will show you,kenmore doesn't make anything,you go by the model number if it starts with 110. it's a whirlpool,if say 417. it's frigidaire made but the maytag model you sent has rollers and i would say if you have a kenmore 80 series it has rollers,you can buy a kit that comes with the rollers,belt and belt pulley

Maytag dryer model PYE2300AYW dryer runs gets hot stops. when I try to turn it back on it makes a noise and won't start back up. What could be wrong?

It sounds like your motor is bad. you could take the dryer apart and clean off the lint on the motor and see if that helps but it sounds like i said the motor is faulty.

Maytag performa dryer model pye2300ayw, what should the ohms reading be on the thermal fuse?

doesn't matter,it's either good or bad,when you touch the meter to it if it reads 1 and doen't move it's bad if you get any reading it's good,if the dryer is loaded with lint in the duct that the lint filter slides into and the vent line is blocked it will keep popping on you, clean out the dryer,number one cause for popping the thermal fuse

Model #PYE2300AYW Dryer. Changed therm fuse. Died in 5 loads. Changed therm fuse/Hi limit. Died in one load. This is a fairly simple machine. Could op thermostat be taking all these out? Tnx

Your lint trap and/or ducting could be blocked. This will cause the machine to overheat and the thermal fuse shuts it off before it burns your house down.

I have a Maytag dryer model # PYE2300AYW. I went to start it up and I heard a straining noise from the motor, then the circuit breaker tripped. I took the front panel off and removed a large chunk of lint...

sounds like one of two things
you still have something stuck in the sqirral cage
;;;;;the blower wheel;;;;;;
or the start winding on the motor is blown
i have new motors i can ship really cheap

It is taking 3 full cycles to dry my small loads on my Maytag Performa PYE2300AYW. I have cleaned lint tray and trap. I need to clean the lint from the inside of my dryer - How do I do this?

The main area that you have to clean is the pipe leading from the back of your dryer to outdoors. Pull your dryer away from the wall. Unplug it. Unfasten the vent pipe. Now look into the back of the dryer exhaust and remove any lint you see there then look into the vent pipe and remove any lint. Finally go outdoors and remove any lint you see in the pipe or the pipe grill/cover.
