Question about HP DeskJet F4280 All In One Printer InkJet
Software for F4280 installed and recognized by the computer. Computer says device working properly. But when I print a document nothing happens. It says printing but never does. Can not even print a test page from my computer. I can from the printer itself, but it doesn't look like the test page shown in manual.
I tried a new usb cord, a different usb port and restarting my computer. Please help.

There are few things to remember using USB.
To remove currepted USB drivers its not enough to remove your printer drivers.
I think it will fix.
Please let me know your feed-back.

check the ports first.. make sure that the printer is set as default ( make sure it has the green tick and the status "ready" or "online" on the printer icon in the printers&faxes. and if u want to connect it wirelessly, you have to install it as usb first before changing to wireless........

SOURCE: HP Deskjet F4280 Ink Level
when you refill the cardtridge, you can not reset the ink level... because refilling doesn't show the ink levels.. you no need to worry. if ink is there in the carttridge it will print...
Shouldn't worry about it. They are only a rough guide. The only time to worry about it is when the printer stops working and it has told you it's run out of ink! Thank you.......

Sounds like their is not communications between your printer and computer. Could be a bad USB cable - swap out and see if that fixes it. If not it could be a faulty USB port on the computer or printer. You can check the computer USB port by connecting another device, but there is no way to check the HP's USB port. I would also check printer USB port for dust bunnies! If you're not able to resolve, I think it is time for another printer.
