Hi to anyone that reads this i have the above printer and has been printing well over the last 2 years last night i put an sd card in the card reader and nothing happened for a few min's then i had a pop up ballon at the bottom tellling me usb device not recognized this has happened a few times over the last year or so and have had to reformat the hard drive to use the printer again it only happens when i put the card in please help its driving me up the wall and the printer out the window i have uninstalled the usb ports and the printer drivers but as soon as i turn the printer on up pops this flaming msg many thanks for reading pete
Pete, You shouldn't have to reformat your hard drive to get a printer working. when you insert or remove the mini cards you must stop the device in windows. Windows views the card and the printer as a hard drive. To remove the card click the green arrow icon in the lower righthand corner of the desktop. Go to the Epson site and download the latest drivers for you model and if available download and update the firmware for the printer. Tim
