PSP has to be in USB mode in order to be recognized. If you have firmware OEM 5.00 it will always be in USB mode but older firmware needs to be in USB mode manually located in the first column 2nd down I think.

How to connect in psp

i'm assuming you want to connect your psp to your computer, you need a usb to mini usb cord. plug the usb cord into the psp (the plug is on the top of the psp), then plug the other end of the usb cord into your pc. you might need to go to the far left option on your psp (settings) then scroll up once to usb connection and hit x, your computer will automatically install your psp and connect.

How do i set up my psp to my pc i have no manual

First, you need a Micro-USB to USB cord (plug the Micro-USB end into the PSP, and the USB end into the PC's USB port). If you don't have one, you can get it from Ebay or Amazon, just search 'PSP Transfer Cord' or something like that. After you've plugged it in, put your PSP in 'USB Mode' and then your computer should say 'Found New Device' and then 'Installing New Hardware' overtop of an icon in the tray. After it's installed successfully, go to my computer, and click the letter of whatever port you plugged it into (i.e., 'Drive F'). You should see some folders saying 'MUSIC', 'PICTURES', 'VIDEO', etc.

***NOTE: If your computer doesn't do anything when you plug your PSP in USB Mode into it, try using another USB port, or try going to My Computer to see if it's already there.

Ga how to download games

You'll need a USB Type-B cord, or a MS Duo Adaptor to transfer files from PC > PSP... PSP PC.

If you're using a USB cord, connect both ends to PC & PSP, go to Settings > USB Connection.
If you're using a MS Duo Adaptor, insert your MS into the Adaptor, then insert the Adaptor with the MS inside it into a PC.

There should be a folder in the root of ya MS called ISO ... in capital letters.

Drag & drop games into the folder! SIMPLE!

Dont know how to download pictures

You can do it one of 3 ways.
1- Use the sony media manager and connect to your computer using usb cord. Sony Media manager found here- http://www.us.playstation.com/psn/mediamanager?LC-lps&FTTR=PSP_mediamanager_bottomleft_mediamanagerdetailpage
2- Connect PSP to computer using USB cord, then go under my computer, and select the psp memory card(whatever its called). Then make a folder titled "PICTURE", and drag pics from your computer into your folder.
3- Over the internet on your psp. Go find an image on internet, put cursor over it, then click triangle. Go to file, then save image. That will download the image to your psp memory card

PSP Troubles - unknown device

Hi,

This is what you should do;

1. Restore your psp to factory setting.

2. If this does not solve the problem, then i guess you'll have to change the psp battery.

This should resolve the problem that you are facing with the psp right now.

Good Luck.
