OK, FIRST OFF THE CARD YOU BOUGHT, IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR CAMERA? IT'S NOT AN SDHC, IS IT? ALSO, DID YOU FORMAT THE CARD? THESE ARE POSSIBLE REASONS YOUR CAMERA IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE 8GB MEMORY. IF YOU FORMATTED IT ON YOUR COMPUTER IT PROBABLY WON'T WORK IN YOUR CAMERA. YOU NEED TO FORMAT IT IN YOUR CAMERA TO HAVE IT BE RECOGNIZED. DOES YOUR CAMERA WORK WITH THE OLD CARD AND NOT SHOW THE ERROR? ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CAMERA SET TO USE THE SD CARD AND NOT INTERNAL MEMORY? CHECK THROUGH YOUR MENU ITEMS FOR CHOICES. TRY THESE FIRST AND IF YOU STILL NEED HELP, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217. IF THIS IS HELPFUL, PLEASE RATE, THANKS!

Toshiba *SD Memory Card - Capacities: 512MB to 2GB *SDHC Memory Card - Capacities: 4GB to 32GB

Panasonic *SD Memory Card - Capacities: 512MB to 2GB *SDHC Memory Card - Capacities: 4GB to 32GB

SanDisk *SD Memory Card - Capacities: 512MB to 2GB *SDHC Memory Card - Capacities: 4GB to 32GB

The specified memory card is either Toshiba or Sandisk. But even with this type of SD card, the polaroid 1532 cam cannot recognize the inserted card. Only 19 pictures can be saved in the internal memory. I...

The trouble is you've used the internal memory and now your camera is set to use it and not your memory card. You must remove your card, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen directions to format the internal memory. Then insert your card and promise never to use the internal memory again.

Camera switches on for a second and then swtches off btterey is fully charged

Here are the steps: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a No power repair or a new cable.

When camera turns on, i see white screen with crack

the crack that you see is an internal crack. this may solve your problem. turn camera off, take out battery and memory card then after 10 secs replace battery with a fully charged one. do not insert memory card. turn cam on and check if you still have the internal crack, if it is not resolved, send cam in for repair

Pentax K10D Both LCD screens are blank

Did you put a memory card in the camera?
My camera did this today, and I resolved it by putting a memory card in, but even when one has been out before it still turned on, so I'm not sure that is the resolution. Did you ever find out what was causing it?

First of all have you seen the answers you got on a parallel post? - http://www.fixya.com/problems-solutions/t103943,p294010/Canon-Digital-Cameras.aspx Some good suggestions there. Always try to leave the battery charging until fully charged. Batteries like to be fully charged and then fully drained, it's not 100% causing this specific problem, but it will prolong your battery life. Certain small brands for memory cards can have compatibility problems with some cameras, including a "card locked" message, when the card isn't locked. The big brands(kingston, sandisk etc) will usually work fine and fast with all cameras. Pretec is also pretty good. Try using another card, and see if the problem persists. And don't completely rule out the possibility that you have the card locked... ;] Good luck
