Try this: it's worked for nearly everone who's tried it. Unfortunantly, you lose your wireless capabilities, but at leat you're not left with a $500 paper weight:

Hello,

There are multiple steps to resolve this issue along with detailed graphics. Unfortunately, we cannot send graphics through Chat. To view the steps with graphics, please go to the following HP Web site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01321436&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en

If the issue persists even after trying steps in above document tham I am afraid it could be a hardware malfunction and the All-in-One need to be serviced.

Thank you.

SOURCE: HP officejet 7410 all-in-one printer compatibility with Windows 7

Read the last comment on this blog about your printer. At the time that model was manufactured, Windows 7 was not apparantly listed or verified. I think they have updated their drivers, so update your drivers per the blog instructions. Good luck, hope this works for you!

Do i need a power cord to operate the 7410

Hello,

The OfficeJet 7410 has a separate power cord and adapter (transformer) that has an output voltage of 31VDC @ 2420mA.

The original HP part number is 0950-4483 but they have a substitute part number of 0957-2145. It can be ordered from HP from this page:

HP Adapter 0957-2145

You may also be able to find one by either Googling the part numbers or if you have an eBay account search there. You may find a better deal.

Thanks for using Fixya. Please take a moment to rate this solution.

BTW, here is the main support page for your printer:

HP Officejet 7410 is not responding in any way. No power; no life. Is there anything I can do to reset the printer without the printer getting any power?

Step two: Perform a semi-full reset CAUTION: Performing a semi-full reset deletes any saved phone numbers on the product.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Press and hold # and 6 while reconnecting the power cord to the product, and then release both buttons.
and it will reset the printer

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo screen flashe

This was solved really well on this blog. It is some problem with the wifi board. If you disconnect it (no so hard and well explained on the blog) you will have network printing over a cable but no wireless.

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo appears on the screen with a progress bar. The display then scrambles and the power light flashes green. No buttons work or do anything.

connect the printer directly to the wall socket for the power supply if it is connected thrugh surge protector.
perform a reset :

unplug the power cable .
press and hold # and 6 key on the printer..
plug in the cable wait for 20 secs then release the buttons..
after this the printer will re-initialize .. this may take few mins..

and chek after that
