Hi,

if you,ve bought the console second-hand, such as from e-bay et,c. contact the seller as it,s faulty. if it,s new and warranted, return to merchant for refund/replacement. you can check the consoles security seals. it may be that you,ve purchased a failed mod-chip attempted console.

Hi,

if you take out the batterys in the controller, you,ll see a small button/switch.
use this for the sensor bar, to receive the signal being transmitted from the controller to the sensor.
You may alternatively, have to reset in the settings menu.

Happy Gaming.

    Hi,

you,ve got 1 of 2 problems, first the tv leads are not in correctly, the tv needs to be tuned into the console, try channel 8 or above. finally you,ve got a damaged unit, graphic chip blown.

    Hi,

Depending on which country your in. USA/UK there are repair services available.

However if the onboard Graphics chip ( GPU ) Has blown. it will be more economical to obtain a replacement console. the cost of repairing something like this will cost £100 or $180+

i,d suggest locating a local games console repair specialist, or obtaining a replacement motherboard, then having it fitted.

    Hope this helps you out.

p.s if your in the UK, i may be able to help you further.

    Thankyou for using Fixya.

    Hi,

if you,re in the uk. and you can ship it to me, i can have a look at it for you.

my buddy does these, i,m mainly laptop, computers and xboxes.

i can probably get you a competative quote, better than shop prices.

    Hi,

Thats a million Dollar Question, like how longs a piece of String.

Until the console is actually looked at, who knows ?

could be a simple fix, might need a new motherboard.

Could be a simple resistor or capacitor blown, or the main gpu chip.

I can,t run through the routines of testing, and repairing on this site.

Otherwise i,ll get swamped with Nintendo Wii repair Advice et,c.

I don,t know wether your aware, but as a fixya expert.

Most experts give advise on this site for Free, unfortunately repairs cost time and money.

If you add any further posts, please leave a contact number or e-mail address, and i will contact you direct.

Make sure that your Sensor Bar is connected properly and that there is no damage to the wire connect it to the Wii.

You may have to place the Sensor Bar else where and reconfigure it to work again.

Ref: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ht_system.jsp
-Connect the Sensor Bar under Wii Console in the left menu.

Our wii remote wont turn on. we tried new batteries and all it does is the blue lights flashes and turns off. What is wrong and how can we fix it

Sounds like it's not synchronizing with the infrared bar. That might've come loose. Double check to make sure that's plugged into the Wii. If that's not connected the Wii Remote will not stay on because it's not connecting.

Is your sensor bar connected to the Wii? Check the sensor bar cable for cuts or severe bends (like a V shape) as they might cause the detection problems with the Wii-mote. A cheap fix is to put lit candles in front of your TV and see if the Wii-mote picks it up then.

My WII remotes have no response to the censor

In addition to checking the physical connectivity from the Wii unit to the Sensor Bar, and also checking/replacing the batteries int he Wii remotes, the following link will provide instructions for re-synchronising the remotes with the Wii console.

Wii remote not working.

Get some regular alkaline AA batteries and try your Wii Remote using them -- the blue lights on the Wii remote should light up and register with the Wii console (this is via wireless / bluetooth) -- As for the sensor bar, it is really only an infra red emitter - so if you have it properly connected to your Wii, the Wii Remote (with working batteries) can sense where it is by "seeing" the lights emitted from your sensor bar.

If the alkaline batteries work - You may need to get some new NiMH AA batteries to use in your charger - changers are usually third party devices; Nintendo does not ship charging stations with the Wii.

If the Wii remote appears to be working (blue lights and all) and your sensor bar is properly connected, you may have a dirty or damaged IR port. First clean the top of the Wii remote, just to make sure. If it still does not work, borrow a friends Wii Remote and check to see if it works with your system. If you do everything above and your Wii remote does not work while a seperate one does, the problem is most likely a broken Wii remote.

Some games does not use Sensor Bar pointing because they play with motion/accelerometer only. After you select the number of sets on Wii Sports Tennis, there is no Sensor Bar pointing except for Pause menu. That's because you Swing the remote like a racket.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

I've had this same problem. Remove the batteries from the remotes. Then disconnct the power cord from the back of the Wii and disconnect the power cord from the wall. Let it sit for 5 min. Double check that the sensor bar is plugged into the Wii and check the cord for any breaks that might stop the signal. After you are sure that the sensor bar is connected and the 5 min. have gone by plug it all back in, install your batteries and re-sync it.

possibly, or low batteries in the remote. Try placing the bar under the tv if its above at the moment, or vice versa if currently below. Also make sure sensor bar overhangs tv slightly too...
