I as well cannot figure out how to do this. I have a jump drive with jpg files on it but when the device loads I can only see them as titled but they are not viewable. In the settings menu I am not able to say change background as it is not highlighted as selectable, just dark gray. I have even tried a disc with pictures on it. But the play will only play these as a slide show and not allow my to set them as the background.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Images on the internet

When you create images for internet, you may be tempted to use a <b>transparent GIF</b>, if a web page background, however, sections of the image. Unfortunately, this usually leads to a terrible image quality. It is<br /> just put a picture in the background is the same color as the web page and save it as a JPEG file.

How to put background on usb

I suppose we all have tried to give background images to our desktop folders. How about setting the same background to our USB devices (Pendrive, Portable Hard Disks etc.) as well? That background image will be seen on every computer you plug in that USB device.
It's really a 3 step process. Let's begin:-

1.) Copy and Paste the following code in a notepad and rename that notepad file to desktop.ini

[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}={BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=123.jpg

2.) Choose any image of your choice and rename it to 123 as my example.

3.) Copy and Paste both these files (i.e. desktop.ini and 123.jpg)into your USB device and make them hidden, right click both files>click properties>click hidden...

That's it. You are done.

Just REFRESH your screen and you will see your image on background.

So, how you feel about this technique?

How do I upload images to my deck from my usb drive and how do I make the image my background?

!FIRST!
Make sure you are not listening to a CD or the USB device while trying to upload! Select something like the radio as the active source!
!2nd!
It can only load .jpg. Also, the images are stored on the USb drive, except for the on you upload as a background. That one is saved on the unit itself.

Go to settings on the menu at the right, then "User Interface". Under "User Background" select "Memory".
Select the folder your picture is in and then the picture itself.

DONE!
I have a quick question about YOUR specific unit. Does it display your MP3s on the USB device in numerical order? Mine always display them in alphabetical track title order, which is dumb.
I'm afraid my unit is defective...

How can put background on my kvt-514

1. Plug a USB drive with the picture(s) you want on the KVT-514 into the USB input. - If there is any music or videos on the usb drive, the USB function of the player will try to take over. If this happens, change the function to something else (DVD or FM radio, etc... anything EXCEPT USB) 2. Go into Setup (is bottom button on main screen on US versions) 3. Select "User Interface" 4. on the first page, there should be some background options. The first is the current background (and a way to change to any loaded picture). The second is what you need to pay attention to. There is an "Eject" symbol Button and a "Memory" button. Select "Memory" - It may take a little while, as it will read the USB device. Be patient. 5. After it reads the USB drive, it will display the contents as a external drive (it displays files, folders, etc.). Folders with files that the radio recognizes (pictures, music, videos, etc) will be highlighted in a bright white text while folders not containing them will be grey. Select the folder that the file is in and then the file. Alternately, if the file is in the root (not in a folder), just select the file. The transfer may take a while, be patient.
Hope this helps you.

Background pics

On the AVH-P4000DVD you can NOT set your own jpgs as a background image. You are allowed to do this on the P4100.
I have read that you can view images if you are using an IPOD with the IPOD connection in the rear of the 4000, but you have to leave the thing connected at all times to see the pics.

Kenwood ddx5032 will not upload pictures for background

I finally found a way to change the Background Image on my Kenwood DDX5032.

Firstly I made up some JPEG (.jpg) images in Photoshop and made these 480(pixels wide) x 234 (pixels high). I then put three of these images on to a USB Thumb Drive, made sure my stereo was on "Tuner" (source set to Tuner) and then switched off the ignition. Then I followed these steps:

  1. With ignition off, plug in the USB Thumb Drive,
  2. Turn ignition to accessories,
  3. Pressed the "Setup" button,
  4. Pressed the "User Interface" button,
  5. Pressed the "Memory" button listed under "User Background" (as this was no longer greyed out),
  6. Selected the picture file I wanted to load,
  7. Waited for the picture to upload in to the stereo's memory and the screen to return to the "User Interface",
  8. Pressed the "Change" button under "Background Change",
  9. Selected the picture I wanted and pressed "Enter",

...and voila, it was done. The instruction manual shows additional information if you have multiple folders or files. I hope this works for you as it did for me.

Cheers,
Glenn

Respected sir,

It cannot be set as desktop background...
Powerpoint presentation file extention is .ppt
while desktop background file extension are.. jpeg, jpg, bmp, gif......etc
.gif file is the animation file.
U can use the software to convert .ppt to .gif and hence set it as desktop background.
