Question about Integra CDC-3.1 CD Player

CD tray wont stay closed

When i power up the unit the CD tray comes out smoothly, with the disc table spinning smoothly. When i hit the close button, the tray retreats into the unit, but the second the tray hits the back of the unit it pops right back out. Everything else seems to be working just fine but i cant play CD's because the tray wont stay inside the unit long enough for the laser to begin reading a disc...

Try using a CD cleaner. Generally this sort of problem occurs due to dust accumulating on the lens. The CD cleaner comes along with a solution.just spray on the CD and allow it to play in the CD drive. Sometimes the problem might even be due to a virus. Check whether your anti-virus is up to date.

I took out all discs. When I tell it to play a disc the table moves back and forth slowly about an inch. After a couple trys "Table Error" shows up. Both belts are old but on.

Tray will prolly need retimed after the belts slipped off the pulleys.
Procedure is with tray brackets removed lift tray in back then push open button to let the cam gear spin around to open position. Then let tray down and try to close it with button. Reinstall brackets and may take a few attempts to get that gear in the right position!

Nakamichi cd cassette player 1 not spinning discs

There's a Music Bank 7-disc player in use in my bedroom these days. Nice unit, but they used to come in for service once in a while- from what I could tell, these units don't 'park' the CD drawers on a soft power off- they simply shut down. When powered up again, they sometimes let the disc last in play slide off the tray & jam the machine. I've had no issues, as long as I always hit stop, wait for it to park, and then shut off. The analog output's sound has been very good (has a coax out as well).

Hi, My young daughter held the tray on my new cd5001 player as it was opening. The tray now opens and closes continually while the unit is turned on. It will not play discs and the words open & close...

while your daughter was "holding" the tray did you hear any "popping" type noise?
This is a typical sympton when the gears have skipped a few teeth!
Your best bet(IF your a "handy" person) would be to take the unit apart to get to the CD drive, and CAREFULLY push/pull on the tray to manually "open/close" it, and watch the tray in correlation to the "eye" mechanism, to see if it is aligning with the "hole" in the tray correctly!
Good luck!

Disc table does not open or close - stuck open

Hello the unit is out of timing now, it will have to be taken apart and retimed. You have skipped some gear tracks and the unit will not close until the Tray is realigned. Try hitting the eject button so the tray comes all the way out then pull on it gently to see if it realigns it self. When it trys to go back in it is hitting the clamper because the tray has not reached home and the clamper that gasps the disk is closing before it has a chance to return home.

Unit powering off unable to stay on

mine did the same thing. Try this turn the power on with the remote, hit the record button and the tape should come out. This means that you need to record something.
