If your igniter comes on but no ignition, that eliminates the possibility of a bad or clogged pressure switch, high limit or flame rollout switch. Sounds to me like you have a control board, or a gas valve going bad. Could even be some loose, corroded, or faulty wiring. Before the igniter comes on the furnace does a self diagnostics to ensure everything is working, or the furnace will not make it to the igniter sequence. Inducer motor, pressure switch/s, limit controls are closed…then comes on the ignitier, gas valve opens, pilot runners and burners ignite, flame sensor detects the flame, blower comes on and all operations are working.

Hope this helps

Some how you have disconnected the sensor that tells the main burner that the fan is on. Its trying to light but cant. On some models there is a air pressure switch that reads the pressure inside the vent pipe itself. It will have a small hose on it and if that has cracked or was not replaced it wont light. This is how its supposed to work--- vent fan comes on,sensor confirms fan is on,hot surface ignighter starts to glow red,and main burner is opened, another sensor confirms that main burner is lit, then hot surface ignighter turns off. Hope this helps.

My pentair minimax heater wont fire. The ceramic

If you can see the ignitor glow it is probally a gas supply problem. If you have continuity and it dosen't glow it is probally a voltage problem. They did have one model out when they first brought these out that needed a 110v ignitor and you will probally have to go to the factory help line for this info you will need serieal numbers from the heater and model numbers also. Then if this is the problem you will have to order parts from the factory as they are rare on the market. But it sounds like gas pressure or feed if you have good cont. and you have run the heater before. You should check your gas orfaces for tiny, tiny spider webs in the gas orfaces and soot on the burners. It's hard to cover it all with little info but I hope this helps. Good luck.

Dryer Ignitor turns on then back off with no flames afterwards

the government mandated that gas appliances start using electronic ignighters because pilot lights would keep blowing gas even after they blew out now the way they work is calibrated on how much amps the glow bar draws the rest of the amps go to the safety valve to open it when the glow bar is drawing enough amps to be hot enough to ignite the gas now what this means is even though the glow bar glows it can still not be hot enough to ig night the gas so the safety valves don't get the right amps to the solenoids to open so you could have a weak ignighter or bad solenoids on the safety valves now i would lean toward the solenoids but i would buy both and first replace the solenoids then the ignighter if the solenoids work take the ignighter back

Please HELP

www dot desatech dot com is a parts distributor for reddy heat products. on their main page they have a short troubleshooting guide. the motor needs to provide 3.5 psi of air across the fuel nozzle to suck the fuel out of the reservoir. check your ignition source (spark plug, hot surface igniter) if the hot surface igniter is broken get a new one, if the spark plug don't spark, check the gap might be too big. see if the spark plug is grounded. poor grounds will cause intermittent sparking. check the high voltage wire for breaks in the insulation, might be shorting out to ground BEFORE the plug. gap should be 75 thousandths.
