Wet pickup has no suction. Dirty water stays on floor. I tipped it over and held a tissue in front of the wheels to see if the Floormate had any suction whatsoever; it does not. What now?

Your collection canister may not be positioned tight enough in its place ment site. Tip machine back using foot pedal (as if you were going tio start using machine to clean) Insert collection canister (bottom container, then insert top canister with solution. The two canisters must be flush with machine side seams and must sit in position tightly. This is sometimes very tricky and may take a little elbow grease to make it click into place. Hope this helps

First check to see that the wheel assembly is not broken. The assembly must move correctly to allow the fluid to be dispensed. Check for breakage at the rear of the wheel assembly where it attaches to the base. If this is not the problem, you may have a defective soap tank.

NORMALLY SUCTION PROBLEMS ARE CAUSED BY A POOR SEALING PROBLEM OR AIR LEEK. CHECK ALL BLACK RUBBER SEALS TO BE SURE THEY ARE SEATED CORRECTLY, NOT WORN OUT OR TORN. BE SURE FILTER AND TOP TO FILTER ARE IN PLACE, AND YOU MIGHT WANT TO LUBRICATE SEALS AND CONNECTION WITH A LITTLE VASILINE OR CRISCO IF YOU ARE A MOM LIKE ME. MINE IS WORKING FINE NOW, HOPE THIS HELPS.

make sure the switch on the side is switched from dry to wet pickup

For the brushes:

The power wire may have slipped off. take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial.

for the suction, check the intake hose the comes out from behind the floor assembly. it tends to split over time

Check the uptake tube. When you push the release button and bend the top of the unit towards you, you can see the tube coming out of the floor assembly. Mine split right there.

The brushes are not designed to scub the floor, they only lightly touch the floor. Make sure the front nozzle is put on correcdtly. Make sure your filter is dry and clean. I wet filter will give poor suction down to the nozzel. Down load the manuel at Hoover.com. The model is located on the back of the unit. H3000, or H3010

Check the hose coming out of the floor assembly. It tends to split, keeping it from picking up the water

Several possible problems:
1) Did you clean the blue lower pickup container (dirty water) before putting it away?
Take out the pickup container and open it up, check the filter (under the little blue piece on top) and also open up the container itself and clean under the flapper on the "screen".
2) Look inside the housing and check the vac hose that goes from the front of the unit up to the rubber grommet where it goes into the lower pickup container. Is it clogged? If yes, take off the front pickup (the part the runs along the floor in front of the rotating brushes) and run a very narrow lint pickup brush (like for cleaning dryer vents) and clean out the hose. It works great.
3) Check the front pickup for clogs and clean
4) If you are trying to pick up water, make sure the setting is set to wet. If you are trying to use it as a vacuum, set it to dry.

There are no belts. If it makes the noise with the brush assembly removed the motor drive assembly is bad. It ia a complete assembly that can easily be replace by a repairman or ypouself if you are cleaver with tools. Good luck.
