Go to Control Panel, then select Mouse/Touch pad Icon. You will see there the MOUSE POINTER OPTION. Just adjust your desired settings for the mouse and pointer settings.

If there's a touchpad icon in the notification (tray) area on the lower right, it might have an option to lower the sensitivity. The Control Panel should supply an applet to the touchpad. The best answer is to get a mouse and disable the faulty touchpad.. the can be replaced too. Once a touchpad gets sensitive like that, the mere tapping on the keys of the keyboard can cause the pointer to move on you.

My eMachines notebook, the touchpad is no longer working. Re-loaded drivers from web site, still not working?

For touch pad lagging, adjusting the mouse setting should fix the problem.

Select Control Panel from the start menu

double click on Mouse icon

Select the Pointer Options tab in the top

In the motion section, set the pointer speed in the middle.

And also tick Enhance pointer precision .

Click Apply and OK.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

Activating COT2 wireless mouse

Your ACME COT2 wireless mouse must have come in two pieces, the USB connector the mouse itself.
Insert the USB connector of your wireless mouse to your Toshiba Satellite and press simultaneously the button in your USB connector and the button in the wireless mouse. This is done in order to pair the mouse to the USB connector.

Dell C640 change touchpad settings

All,

I read on this a while then found these 2 packages and downloaded from DELL's site:

R49155.EXE
R46325.EXE

I installed the R49155.EXE and got 2 more tabs in the properties window for my mouse (Start + Control Panel + Mouse).

In the new "Device Settings" tab I can either totally disable the touchpad or in "Settings", just disable the "TAP to click"; which is the feature causing the cursor to bounce all over.

Also in the active application section of the launch bar, lower right next to clock, an ICON is now present and "TAP to click" is an option, which I can now easily inable/disable; after opening the ICON with a click.

As I understand it, R46325.EXE is the R49155.EXE on steroids, but did not need that.

Cheers!

The touch pad pointer is very jumpy. When it is pointed and tapped it Jumps to top bottom or all four coners. Some times while typing a text it jups on its on. The driver has been installed successfully.

Try going to control panel, mouse/touchpad properties and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad. You may also want to disable the "Tap to Click" option if you often inadvertantly click on an item.
