My drum fills with water and is not turned on

Sounds like water control solenoid is stuck in the open position.
The hot and cold solenoids are located just inside where the hoses attach to the washer.

Frigidaire fwsb5700ds0 top load washer is dripping water from the water fill spout..why would this be occuring?

sounds like you may have a bad inlet water valve the solenoid is not closing all the way... you may be able to try and shut water off and remove hoses and clean screens out of valve itself. first unplug unit and if water continues to drip then that is going to be your problem as that elements anything electrical energizing the valve and shows you have a faulty solenoid not closing all the way...\
hope this helps good luck

Washer filling with water when washer is not being used.

You have leaking solenoid water valves. You can shut off the faucets when unused to circumvent replacement of the solenoid valves, but the leakage is repaired by replacement of the valves. Hope this helps!

Frigidaire Washer GLTF530DS0 motor doesn't run ohm test ok

could be a thermal fuse that has blown that protects the motor.Does your washer fill with water and set there? If so its probably your door or lid switch. There is a quick way to find out unhook door switch and connect wires together with electrical tape then try the washer. If it works replace the bad switch

Frigidaire (LTF2940E) Washer starts, stops, starts, stops...

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washer has quick cycle will not fill on this cycle only on larger cycles

Seems you have a faulty water fill valve. It's reading full before it really is.

Top wand does not spin

You may have a water volume problem.

The water fill sequence on most washers is timed. Insufficient water at the bottom of the washer will cause the pump to cavitate.
Ensure water is filling to just under the heating element.

You can fix this by isolating the water and electricity then remove the fill solenoid. Inside the solenoid is a top hat filter screen. This screen captures sedement.

Once the sedement was removed on my washer the wands turned

My machine also had a check valve on the bottom near the back of the machine that was blocked. The valve needs to work freely in order for the pump to build pressure. The check valve can be removed from the top by turning the assembly counter clock wise.

Frigidaire gallery stack wash/dryer

Sounds like it could either be a bad solenoid in the fill valve or a bad pressure switch...both issues are easily repairable.

Kenmore Elite HE4T Washing Machine Diagnostic Test Didn't complete and clothes aren't spun as dry as in the past I have a Kenmore Elite HE4T washing machine and I noticed that recently it isn't getting all of the clothes completely dry from the final spin cycle. Thus, the dryer has to run through two cycles to get the clothes dry. I did a bunch of research and made sure there weren't any kinks or blockages in the drain lines; and opened up the bottom of the washer and cleaned out the drain cleanout. I found a few pennies, but everything seemed to be working ok. I ran a load and had the bottom open so that I could make sure the motor, drain and belt were all working properly. The drain does get the water out of the washer, so the clothes aren't sitting in water, they just don't seem to be spun as fast or as long as they used to. I always put it on the "extra high" spin setting no matter which type of load I run. So, I found a way to run the diagnostic test on the washer and it went through C0-C5 (the agitation step) and all worked great, until it wouldn't come out of C5 after at least 10 minutes and go thru C6-C8. I had to cancel the diagnostic test and hit the "drain and spin" button to get all of the water back out of the washer. BTW, the "drain and spin" seems to get the clothes a bit drier than when I have it run through the "normal" cycle with the "extra high" spin. If anyone has any other thoughts, I would really appreciate it. This unit is in a small space with the dryer attached so to take it out and do repairs is a pretty big hassle. It has had a new control board and two new fill valves in the 10+ years that I have owned it. Questions I have: 1.should I remove the entire drain pump to make sure there isn't anything lodged in it? 2. could it be the belt slipping slightly and keeping the spin from reaching its 1200 RPMs? 3. Anything else I may be missing???
