Question about Akai PDP4225M 42 in. Plasma Television
Red std/by light only. Will not turn on by power button or remote. Found o/c resistor R001 on power board(MPF7410 A). Replaced resistor, relay RL002 activated momentarily then same problem. Rechecked resistor, o/c again.I replaced all electrolytic caps on this board and changed resistor R001 again. I switched it on again but same thing happened. Resistor R001 opened again.Do you have any ideas what to check next?
1st your power supply needs replaced. But you could have issues with the sustain boards and or your panel that is causing your power supply to fail. once you replace your power supply you should be able to power up the set, but if you don't get a picture then you will have to trouble shoot the sustain boards and panel.
