Turning off After a car trip using the c330. the device won't turn off. The on/off switch won't do it. The screen does not respond to touch. Plugging it into the power source doesn't restart. What's happening? How do I take out battery to "reboot" it?

Re: turning off

Dig out the chrome frame in front with a letter opener or knife..........behind it is a reset button.

Hi gmarleau

an reset or an update might fix it, but if it doesnt, its still under warranty!

turn on your 5310 and locate the reset on the bottom left of your unit (small pinhole) use a paperclip to insert and depress the reset switch.

if that fails and you want to try an update, you can get the 4.72 update HERE you have to sign in and register before they will let you download anything.

to send it in for warranty repair or replacement call the number listed below.

My streetpilot c330 won"t shut off.

ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)

TWO, let the battery die out!

Waking up your c330...

If you left your Garmin c330 on running the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off. Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET" button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery should come back to life. Cheers

Try turning the unit off, then turn in on while pressing your finger on the bottom right of the screen and holding it there for about 30 seconds. This should bring up the calibration screen, which will have you press dots to calibrate the touch screen. See if this helps.

Try to calibrate the touch screen. Push and hold the power button on until you see a white dot on the screen. This is the calibration mode. Touch the dot and another dot will apppear, now touch this dot again, keep doing this until the unit reboot.

If you touch the 1st dot and nothing happens then the digitizer on the LCD is dead. If the unit is still under warranty, get a RMA and return it to Garmin.

C330 will not turn on.

I had this problem once. Try plugging it into the USB for power. Remove the face plate - there's an indention underneath on the top side to get your finger nail underneath to pull it out. One you get the face plate off, there's a small button on the right side of the screen. You can try pressing that to see if it turns on.
