not sure where the ground is there are no wires attached right now so i dont have anything to go by.

3 i think but theres no plug. there never was one when i got i

What im looking at is inside the mixer stand at the back. There are 5 to 6 screws where the wires attach. 2 of them are connected to something inside the mixer. Each of those wires seemed to be connected to one of the other screws. and then theres one on its own that i figure is the ground.

I tried attaching wires and pluging it in. I heard a small humm but it didnt turn on. Its been in a shed for the past few months so it was really cold when i tried. Not sure if that would make a difference.

And thanks for your wime and assistants it is greatly appreciated.

Make sure the green (ground) wire goes to the ground on the plug,it should be marked green. Then hook up the other 3 wires in any order---turn the mixer on,the beater should move clockwise--if not change any 2 wires and it will run the right way.Let me know.

Where can i find a hobart k45 replacement cord

You can purchase a replacement power cord from Amazon.com. It is part number 9701025 and includes the grounding style plug which the original did not have. It can also be purchased from your local Sears parts store but it will be much more expensive

How do I empty and then refill the grease in the gear box of my 30 quart Hobart mixer

Transmission has to be somewhat disassembled, grease removed, lower seal should be replaced and then grease added and reassembled. Not that easy to do. Check www.hobartservice.com for your local Hobart office.

My hobart n50 has no ground on the power cord, also any ideas on where to get parts?

If the ground pin on the cord is missing, you can put a new plug on the end of the cord -- hardware stores have them.

Old hobart s-30 mixer oil

man you got an oldie but goodie mixer!im a hobart service tech for 8 years and have only seen about two dozen, unfortuantly parts for these units are exhuasted.as for the sight glass they do become cloudy over time and you cant determine the oil level.use a heavy gear case oil.the only way of telling is to drain the oil or if the unit is loud you should probably cange the oil.
