To find out the amount of Food Stamps available, on your EBT card on the back there is a phone number to call & you can find out. Also at the grocery store tell the clerk you just want to find out your balance and then swipe your card and you can see the balance.
To receive a new pin number for your EBT card you will have to contact your Income Support Division in your town. If you want to avoid all of that, you can set up an account on your PC at: http://www.fns.gov/snap/contact_info/hotlines.htm They should be able to help you or direct you to the person you need to speak to. I have had to do this before, I did it the easy way. I logged in on my PC, let them know about my PIN number, and I received a whole new EBT card within a week, through the mail!
