Maybe the drive belt is to small and pulling on the assembly, and in turn pulling enough to break the bolt. probably is fine when idle, but under load the condition changes, causing tension to be applied and snapping the bold. That would be the first place I would look.

I have also had other bolts come out of other assemblies and everything ran fine. Until one day when it didnt and belts snapped and so did bolts as and my transmission. It wasnt a good day. So check your belt alignments, mower deck bolts, spring placement, rear end bolts, etc. Good Luck!!

Check and adjust your RIO switch{reverse implement option}near the trans if so equipped. What happens when you press forward pedal then engage blades?Would also check the lower bearing on your pto clutch to see if its seized up.

SOURCE: My John Deere 345 dies for no apparent reason

You have dirt in the fuel tank and it sucks the dirt up on the filter that is attached to the pump. After the machine stalls, the dirt falls off and it will restart and run for a few min.

My John Deere SST18 tractor will not turn left or right once I engage the PTO on the mower deck I turn the PTO off, the tractor turns just fine. Any ideas that I might try to fix this problem

There are routine maintenance procedures for the steering actuators and filters. See the operators manual.

Manuals are available for download free of charge from the John Deere website.

https://techpubs.deere.com/en-US/Search/Equipment#

This may not be the problem but is a good place to start.

John deere 6310 pto does not come on but i light keeps flashing even if its disengaged

Flashing pto light is an indication that there is a issue with pto. Low hydraulic fluid or a bad sensor.

My lawn mower blade snapped off and part of the screw that holds it is left in the barrel how do i fix it

Wow, I hope nobody was hurt.

To extract the remainder of the bolt, you need to first hit the hardware store. If you have a piece that broke off, bring it. ( or the mower) You need a replacement bolt anyway.

Ask about 'Easy-Outs' and the what size drill bit corresponds to the one you need.

What they are is similar to a punch with course left handed threads.

The idea is you drill a hole in the bolt at a specific size for a specific easy-out. Pound in the easy-out so it can get a bite on the bolt and start unscrewing.

The left hand thread keeps a hold on the bolt while the bolt is unscrewing. Yes, it's a marvelous world. But not a perfect one.

Best get some penetrating oil too. And pull the spark plug before doing anything.

Best regards

PTO CONTROLS. How do you engage and disengage PTO.

The tractor is not a 6300 is it.If it' not you need to adjust the cable for the p.t.o. until it will stay down.Don't turn the turnbuckle too much at a time because there is a fine line between the won't engage and the won,t disengage adjustment.
