SOURCE: Error code E 04 was
most error codes are to do with the main board or a switch board and ussually need to be replaced. If you have the manual for it they normally have the error codes and there meaning in them. If not in the manual you should ring your nearest repairer and give them the make model and error cdes and they can ussually tell you what it is from.

Simple solution. DO NOT spend the money on a tech coming to the house.
This error code comes from getting too much water in your machine, either from a dish filled with water emptying, or perhaps a clog from the sink that prevents your machine from draining. It is meant to prevent overflows from too much water being in the tub. It is a simple fix though!
First of all you should at least shut the power off on your machine. For the effort of a couple of more steps, it wouldn't hurt to shut the breaker off at the fuse panel. You will have to unscrew the undercounter tabs that mount the dishwasher to the countertop. They are located just under the counter sticking out from the top of the dishwasher when the door is open. Then proceed to pull out the dishwasher from under the counter. You will only have to pull it out about half way and you will find the overflow valve. It is located on the right side of the dishwasher just under the insulation and level with the lower hinge on the door. (Right side when you are looking at the machine.)
There are two overflow valves. One looks like a small cup, the other looks like a cylinder with a float in it like your toilet. Both of them have black rubber covers near the bottom. Take these covers off and about a quarter cup of water will flow out of these overflow basins. Allow them to completely empty, then replace the rubber drain covers and then replace the unit under the counter.
Once you turn the power on, the error code should be cleared and you are ready to use the dishwasher again.

The "004" error code is an indication of a water temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire connection on the water temperature
mean while 004 error code indicates that the water temperature sensor reading is out of range (below 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F).
however, what you need to do tp fix up the problem is to unscrew the washer then clean up all forms of dry and water you can seen in it with this the problem of the 004 error code is solve .
please make sure that all form of power supply is put OFF before you can do this
thank you and thanks for using fixya.

You can purchase similar hoses at most home improvement center. Take a section of the old hose with you to get the right diameter and use the existing fittings to attach them to the unint and the window exhaust. What you may find is a better quality hose/duct, than what came with the unit. You may have to buy more than you need in length, but then you'll have some left over, if you ever have to replace it again.
Hope this helped. Good luck.

Try to google the manufacturer and model number, sometimes the manufacturer has a downloadable manual online. Otherwise, you may have to contact Danby to order one.
