Question about HP DeskJet 9800 InkJet Printer
I moved the printer from one area of our RV to another, plugged it in, all was well except suddenly my laptop didn't recognize the device. In the interim, my husband started the engine of the RV, which changes the power source. The unit was still on when I unplugged it again, hoping that it would reset and be recognized by my laptop. I plugged it back in, and now can get no power or power light! I have checked everything, and all circuits, outlets in the coach are fine. Is there a reset button, something I should be doing, or was this on the way out anyway? It's only 4 months old, but I have had a myriad of problems with it compared to my last wide format unit, the 9650.
I think you blew it when the power source switched. When you try to power it up and don't get any lights, that usually means that the power supply in the printer is shot. Sorry. You might try getting warranty service on it.
