Your best bet is to go to you PC manufacturers web site and look for the specific model of computer you have on their support page. You should be able to download drivers onto a pen drive and then load that onto your PC.

Try booting into Safe Mode and see if the CD is available then.

Hello there.

I suggest you to download software called Driver Robot (freeware)
http://www.fileserve.com/file/X8pSHAP/ParadiseW.net_Driver_Robo_2.5_Build_3.0.rar

When you install it, open and click scan. When it finished click report to a file, save that file and open it. Click get drivers, find drivers you need, download and install it. Restart your computer.
Otherwise, put your dell resource cd in pc, go to device manager, right click on the yellow driver and choose update driver. Choose browse my computer, and then in the field include in in search, find cd, and click next and it will find it and install for you.

I hope I was helpfull.

Sincerely,

Steve TM

Hard Drive Prevents any other windows device from loading

Hi, Mark Here.
Yes the setup on the xp install puts drivers into memory, but being an older version of windows B4 sta was out it does not have drivers to support it.

You could go to Microsoft & search for a new version of setup install drivers that includes sta, & download to thumb.
Really typical Windows Failure (driver not available freeze up or blue screen).

Cant finish loading win xp

is this a new computer (built for vista)? If so, then the most likely culprit is the driver set in XP cannot handle your hardware. so it locks when it gets to that point. Or it could be a read/write error. First try installing again, but delete all existing partitions and make new one, and when you format, do not use quick format. If that doesn't do it, you will most likely need to build a custom windows install cd to make it work. You can slip stream Service Pack 3 in, and that helps. you can also slipstream drivers for your PC into the disc so that the will be available at install time. Check out nLite, at the link below, really good package for doing this.
