Question about Panasonic TH-50PX75U Plasma HDTV

Open Question

TV can't read the SD card

When I insert the SD card in the TV it says it can't read te card. Panasonic told us about the file structure required and we fixed that but still can't read. They are going to send me a SD card with pictures on it to see if the TV will read that.

Thanks

Ur tv still able to see picture photo on ur tv video functions,tv should be still able to work.Tries tv and cable or satalite boxes unplug, replug it back like about an hour later. For the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting and those pay boxes to reboot and upgraded it softwares.U have the tv original remote?Yes?Push the tv menu button if ur tv have a video menu than it is a very good new.Tries tv resetting every modes on the tv Menu back to factory setting.Tv should funsctions again. After tries to resetting the tv and rebooting those pay signal boxes,if tv still getting no tv video signal.Than those tv backlight buffer boards for the Plasma screen X or Z are dead could be either X or Z or both.Find the closed it is authorize LCD and Plasma tvs shops for repair.Best because they have the equipments to determine the exact buffer board is or are dead.

What's your problem? won't turn on..... yellow/orange light continually flashes three times...

Toshiba Regza 37in - 37HL17
TV will not turn on - Yellow power ind. Light blinks three times...
Fixed with a firmware update (hard to believe, but true). Search Google for a file named: 2007SEN069.zip (don't worry if the page you find it on doesn't mention the 37HL17 - it worked fine). Unzip the file, and copy the 3 folders and 3 files to the root of a small SD card. The SD card MUST be 2GB or less in size (I used a 1GB card), and it MUST be formatted with FAT-16 (not FAT-32). Mine was pre-formatted as FAT (FAT-16). The SD port is on the back of the TV behind a cover plate near the power cable. You do NOT need to remove the back cover of the TV, just the small cover plate (1 screw). UNPLUG the TV; remove the cover plate; insert the SD card (prepped as explained above); Plug in the TV; Watch the yellow lights blink, then turn blue, then go dark; UNPLUG the TV; remove the SD Card and replace the cover; Plug in the TV; Yellow lights will blink a few times (this is normal); when blinking stops, turn on the TV and you should be good to go. :-)
Pictures attached are from a Toshiba software upgrade bulletin I found online.

Wanting to watch info loaded on a external hard drive through usb drive on tv. How do i do this.

You need to enter the menu and select the USB drive. Then browse through the files on the USB drive. (This will be similar to browsing in the Windows File Explorer if the drive is formatted such that the TV can read it.)

The manual for the TH-L37U20Z is not available at the Panasonic site: http://www.panasonic.co.nz/viera/lcds/th-l37u20z.html . Nor are the manuals for similar models in other countries where Panasonic sells these TVs.

I'm assuming that the file access is similar to that of viewing pictures from an SD card on the models of Panasonic TVs that I have dealt with before. (For the SD card access it's Menu > SD Card.) Thus you do not set the channel or input, just browse and Play.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(my TV is older and only lets me access firmware updates from a USB drive that is FAT32. This is accessed elsewhere in the menu. However, it does let me show the pictures from my camera SD card.)

My viera tv will not play any movies! I have converted movies to both mpeg2 and avchd formats, put them on my sd card, and the tv will not play them!

Panasonic requires a very strict AVCHD structure from a camcorder that nobody has been able to figure out yet.

Seems like the Viera is fussy about video encoding.

Wont turn on but yellow light is flashing

I followed the steps at the following link and it worked for me. I have a 2007 Toshiba Regza 42HL67, but the firmware applies to many models as documented in the readme file at the location found via the link below. I used a 1gb SD card formatted FAT16, copied the unzipped files and folder to the card (wasn't sure if it required the top level folder or only the files under the top level folder so I copied both to the root of the SD card), unplugged the TV, inserted the card, plugged in the TV, waited 2.5 minutes, unplugged the TV, removed the card, plugged in the TV, yellow light flashed 3 times and went out. I turned on the TV and it has worked normally since last night.

Power issues with panasonic tc32lx70

You need to go to Panasonic dot com search for TC-32LX70, go to software updates. Use a blank SD card and format it save the firmware file SDDL.SEC to it. Carefully open the "service panel" you may need to remove the entire back case? since it seems the frame is holding the service panel down. 1)power on the TV
2)insert the SDcard with firmware update into the rear(lx70) or the sdcard slot on the side(lx700)
3)follow the on-screen instructions.
4)when it's finished, remove the SD card.
turn off or unplug for 30+ seconds
then plug it back in.
5)power on.
6) perform the first time setup.
