Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player
How do you make a playlist on the Phillips Gogear 4Gb mp3 player without doing it on the player it self? Can you make it on the computer first? I have the same problem, I don't know how to set it on the computer, but the playlist button on the side is for adding whatever song you are currently on to the "playlist on the go" that is already in there... I don't know how to add any more playlists, and I can't take the songs off of that one to reset it either! It's very agrivating...
Ok heres what ya do.
connect to laptop/computer.
go to "computer"
find the player -- open it
internal storage -- open it
playlists -- open it
right click any of the playlists and click properties.
click the references tab.
go back to the folder called music in the device.
click and drag the songs into the window called references.
when finished click ok.

Next, drag your newly created Playlist over to the "Sync List".
Once you see your playlist listed in the Sync List window, click the "Start Sync" button at the bottom of the Sync Window.

To create a playlist using the Philips GoGear
4GB MP4 Player:
Open a “New Folder” on your desk top
Drag the tracks to your new folder
Once the track is inside your new folder, place the cursor over the track and right click your mouse and select “Rename”
Now depending in which order you would like this track to appear on your list, type a number.
1 - Elvis - It’s Now or Never
2 - Lady Gaga - Pokerface
3 - John Lennon - Imagine
Once you have completed your playlist, close this folder, then right click and select “Rename” to give your folder a title.
Finally, connect the Philips GoGear 4GB MP4 Player to your PC

You have to install Rhapsody off of the CD or from a download and use that to manage your music, and playlists on the GoGear. It would seem Phillips and RealNetworks have a thing with each other, and it's as if the GoGear was designed to work with Rhapsody from the get go. (Or vis versa)
One major quirk though: if you create a new Playlist on the GoGear directly by right clicking it in Rhapsody, it will forever be named 'New Playlist' on the GoGear itself regardless of the name you give it inside of Rhapsody. Renaming the Playlist on the GoGear inside Rhapsody doesn't actually rename it either. I would strongly advise not using this function at all. It can lead to minutes or even hours of frustration, because any subsequent new list you create will just be 'New Playlist' on the GoGear and it will overwrite the last one you created.
To prevent hassle, just create a new Playlist in the Rhapsody player under the Playlists tab, then transfer that over to the GoGear by right clicking on it. Simple. =)

You just need to be in the FOLDER view to FIND the playlists on the player. Drag the songs into a folder, however you create the folder. The point is that you'll need to use that back arrow key to the left of the player and get in the mode where your folders are ( videos, pictures, radio, etc). Click the FOLDER view and you'll see the folders you created, wherever you put them.

Plug in your device to the computer. Choose the open device to view files option. on the left menu, double click on internal storage. Right click on the music file and choose create new playlist. This method will create a new playlist with ALL of the songs on your device. You then can go in and delete the songs you do not want on the playlist. Remember, you can press control and click on the songs you do not want - they should be highlighted after that. You can highlight a LOT of songs then hit the red X to delete them. Goes suprisingly quick depending on the amount of songs you have ont he device.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
