Click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart. You might tick in one box only to automatically fix files have no input while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may further damage your computers Operating System and Hard Drive This might take some time depending on the of your hard drive and the amount of data you have on it be patient. http://download.cnet.com/jetclean/3000-18512_4-75627788.html JetClean tidies your registry, gets rid of junk files, deletes broken shortcuts, and attempts to give your computer that like-new feel again. A cookie is a string of information that is sent to your computer from each website that you visit. Cookies are harmless. Why would you want to delete them then? The reason you would want to delete cookies from your computer is that they can store information such as user name, IP address, password, email address, shopping cart items and any strings of information that can be related to your identity. Cookies that are on your computer may slow your computer down. Therefore you may want to delete cookies from your browser. Here is a very simple guide on how to delete cookies manually from your computer.

Click on "tools" in your browser. This is usually located in the upper right corner of your browser. Click on Internet options. This will appear in the drop down box and is usually at the bottom. Under the "General" tab look for "Browsing History." Under this heading you can click "Delete" to have the computer delete all cookies for you automatically however to delete the cookies manually click on the "Settings" tab Click on the "View Files" tab under the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" box that pops up. When you do a second box will pop up with a list of cookie containing files. This may take a few seconds to load so be patient while waiting for the cookie files to load. Highlight any cookie file that you would like to delete. You can highlight more than one at a time by holding down the 'Ctrl" button on your keypad Delete the files that are highlighted by clicking on the "delete this item" located to the left in the same box. As soon as you do you will see the selected files disappear. When you are done just "X" off; this completes your task of manually deleting cookies. You might also do a disk clean up click start click on computer to open right click on your hard drive usually C: select properties in the general tab select disk clean up click ok you can view files to be deleted.
Then right click on the memturbo 4 program select run as administrator
Hope this helps.

Cannot boot up windows xp or do system recovery

It's easy Megan, just chill, lol!

Look at the back of the computer next to the Windows product key, or up on the side of the computer tower, for the white Service Tag.
In the tag write down what it states next to S/N.

This is the Serial Number.

(DO NOT post on here. Only give to an authorized HP representative)

Now contact HP Support, and ask for the Restoration Disk.
(HP bought out Compaq a long time ago)

In the USA the disk is free. The shipping and handling is not.
$17 for a 5 to 7 day ship, $24 for a 2 to 3 day ship.

In the US call 1-800-474-6836
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

Outside the US use HP Support Worldwide,

http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

When you get the disk, turn your computer on, and put the disk in the optical drive's tray. (CD/DVD drive)
When asked choose Repair. (Non-Destructive Installation)

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

NOT ABLE TO INSTALL WINDOW XP

Hi meetabdullah,

Have a nice day.

If you're running Windows XP and your computer software crashes or becomes unusable, you may have to run Windows XP recovery to reestablish your software and make your computer usable once again. When purchased, many computers don't come with a Windows XP recovery disk, but you can download one for free. The Windows XP recovery disk holds almost all of the computer software and files that came loaded with your PC and can assist you in rebuilding your hard drive.

Here are some instructions that somehow could help you:

1.Place a formatted disk in your disk drive. Click on the "Download a Windows XP recovery disk from Microsoft" link in Resources below. Click "Download." Then click "Save." Find your disk drive on the menu and click "OK."

2. Remove the disk when the Windows XP recovery disk download is complete, and place it in the computer on which you need to use it.

3.Shut down your computer; then turn your computer back on. Your computer will automatically start up running on the Windows XP recovery disk, which will allow you to install Windows XP once again.

Hope this will help you.

Will not load games

First of all get a good Antivirus software and scan your PC thoroughly after UPDATING it. Updating the Virus software is extremely important.
Secondly after doing the above step install a Registry cleaning software. I recommend Uniblue Registry booster or Regcure. Virus and unclean registry are number 1 reasons to PC slow down.
Check your hard disk if it is near to full. Use the Windows built in disk cleaning software to clean unnecessary files. After that De-fragmenting the disk will also help a lot. To de-fragment a disk Go to accessories in the start menu and then go to system tools. Find disk de-fragmentation and run it the PC performance will dramatically enhance but Virus and registry cleaning is recommended to be done first.

Good luck!

My Farmville app will not load farm image all of a

1. The first repair step you should do is scan your system with Good and updated anti virus. This is the best method to eliminate viruses from your system.
2. You also can run disk defragment to repair sluggish computer. There should be much fragment in your system disk. Clean up the fragment and fix hard drive errors, you can make your computer run faster than before. Fragment in system disk will slow a computer performance down and ****** the transmission of data.
Try cleaning temporary files from PC by typing in "Run" %temp% and delete all the files
And if you are getting this problem in farm ville, then try using Google chrome. It is the best for it.

Please rate me if this solution works for you.

Thanks......Have a great time.

I hit F8, here is the new error message

If this is all you are seeing, then this is not an error. What is happening here is that your computer is loading Safe Mode. This is a way to load Windows operating system without any extra software or programs, using the most basic drivers and software to load. There are a lot of benefits to accessing this mode, especially if you installed a program that stops you from getting into Normal Mode, or you have a virus that does the same. It makes it easy to troubleshoot. Here is a link to a website with a little more info:

http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/s/safemode.htm

If you load your computer normally by not pressing any keys, then you should be fine.
