Question about Linksys WUSB54GSC Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter w/ SpeedBooster [WUSB54GSC] (LS-SB54GSC)
Ve recently noticed that my internet
is going slower and slower. It used to be very fast and all of a sudden
it's very slow? Ive tried turning the router on and off and it returns
my internet speed back to how it used to be but for only a few minutes.
I want a fast connection again ;[.
My Wireless Adapter is a : Linksys WUSB54GSC
My Router is a : Verizon Actiontec M1424-WR
Ive also noticed that my connection starts at 54mbps speed and ''Very Good'' Signal then goes down to 11mbps and a ''Very Low'' Signal.
This problem is on this computer only. My laptop connection is just fine.
1. Try to use a different wireless adapter on all available USB ports, if the problem remains then
2. turn off your PC unplug the power cord from the power socket, short the two legs of the power cable then leave it for 5min, then plug it into the power socket again and turn on the PC.
if this didnt work then you have a hardware problem with the USB ports.
let me know how it works out.

if it's going offline, then it's losing the signal, or is recieving a low signal, it should be at 54mbps but when it gets below around 24mbps, it will disconnect and look for a stronger connection in your area, or disconnect from the net altogether.
Put your router in a higher and better line of sight to your adapter, walls and floors can block the signal and check that it's not your router that is losing the connection.
