Having downloaded the file you'd need to extract the files from inside the archive to a folder and then point windows at the folder with the extracted files in it.

You can download software from the link below to do the extraction:
http://www.win-rar.com/download.html

Once installed just double click the .RAR file and drag the files within out to a new folder. Follow the instructions above pointing windows to look for files in your new folder.

When I try to hook up my iPhone it won't work...but an iPod touch or a flash drive will...any suggestions ...

Whats up mate? , this solution' is more theory but at the same time could answer what seems maybe an obvious , answer!? I haven't looked up yo car centre mounted sound sys model(dope by the way looking good!), a touch screen with some variant-Linux os to complete(yes multiple commands)essentially one sys main end command !, power, run, play, boost bass, equalise, in/de volume, 'Plug n Play expansion media- USB Flash drive- breakbeat folder....track6" the 'SLAVE' formatted to 'it' the 'MASTER OS' (Car) Sound system. iPhone, a 'Smart phone' is run by an .....OS! in applescript, applets. iPod is specifically written to 'plug n play', yes iPhone has quick player 7...iPod onboard but 'CONTROLLED' by its own 'Master OS'! In essence plug into AUX and nope iPhone is not and won't respond as a slave sorry dude. Like SLR camera into a pc via usb its Slave-Master config, commanded to upload .....photo's! As a USB Flash in yo ride, plug in a Device or another Master .....No playback! However.......-.......the word is Interface! Await that second post ok mate?;) Does that state the obvious though Bro?

Shutter release button on my F3 is stuck (locked) and shutter speed is locked at 1/60. Works fine when camera is attached to a motor drive, but not otherwise.

Hi,
When the batteries in an F3 die, though the film can still be advanced, the photographer is limited to a single mechanical shutter speed of approximately 1/60 second. It is tripped by a secondary fully mechanical shutter release. Works fine when camera is attached to a motor drive because it uses the drivers power...Pls replace the batteries as one of the following is okay.....
  • Battery: Choice of one 3V lithium battery CR-1/3N type,,
  • two 1.55V silver-oxide batteries SR-44 type, or
  • two 1.5V alkaline batteries LR-44 type
Hope this helps!
Take care and please

Pictures will not transfer to computer

The best way to download pictures to a computer is through an optional card reader then there is no problem with the computer not recognizing the camera or downloading the pictures. Using a card reader you would remove the Compact Flash card from your 10D and insert it into the card reader the computer would then recognize it as an external drive. Do not format the memory card in the computer always format in the camera. If you must use the camera as the reader make sure you have plenty of battery power in the camera to do the transfer then turn it off. Have the computer on and connect the USB cable to the computer and the mini USB to the camera. Turn on the camera and the computer depending on you operating system will ether place the camera memory card as a drive on the desk top or you may have to go into your system preferences. Most newer systems the HD icon will appear on the desk top. Which ever system you use make sure you click on the icon when you are finished downloading the images and "eject" the memory card, failing to do this will cause problems with lost files or corrupt the memory card. Problem transfering photos from canon t1i

Your card reader may not be the correct generation to read that 8gb card. Also if you use an AC power supply the camera may like it better since it may calculate that it doesn't have enough power to download that large of a card. I cannot tell for sure since the Canon rebel Ti is a film camera not a digital.

When i try to upload pictures from the camera it causes my computer to restart everytime. Windows EP

Hello,
Sometimes some operating system is not compatible with such cameras.
therefore, the best way to unload the pictures please try to obtain / buy a USB multi memory card reader (it is about 4,00-6,00 USD ) and take your memory card out of camera ,plug into card reader,USB to computer ,here it is ,your pictures there ( to be seen as external Hard disc )
Regards.

Incompatibility between canon EOS XTi and windows 7

Your problem is that Canon have not yet released a Windows 7 driver for your camera.

You might be able to run the software you have if you set Windows 7 to "compatibility mode". This makes your current software believe that it's running on a pc using an earlier version of Windows.
